Unfortunately, it was Ember who had been found alive but badly injured. Karma seemed to have caught up with her for the pain she had caused Scovia and her unborn child.
Ember was rushed to the hospital. as Aiden and his men continued searching the remains of the house. Despite their efforts, Scovia was nowhere to be found. Aiden couldn't believe it. He felt his strength drain from his body, collapsing to his knees, overwhelmed with grief. "I'm too late... I am a failure as a husband and a father," he whispered. "I couldn't save either of you."
George gently placed a hand on Aiden's shoulder, attempting to offer comfort. "Sir, she probably wasn't here. We can't just assume that the worst has happened. We need to keep searching." George said softly, his voice filled with empathy.
"You're right, George," Aiden said, his voice trembling. "My wife didn't die. Scovia is still alive, and I need to stay strong so that I can find her and bring her home safely."
