A clue was left behind

On their way back, Scott dialed Mr. Bruce, the chairwoman's assistant. As the call connected, Scott spoke in a low, calm voice, "Tell the chairwoman that the mission was accomplished."

Mr. Bruce, who had picked up the call, relayed Scott's message to the chairwoman, who was sitting in her lavish chair in her office. The chairwoman replied, her voice full of authority, and Mr. Bruce dutifully delivered the message back to Scott, "The chairwoman wants you to find a way to let her parents know that the young miss is safe."

Scott pondered for a moment. Then he responded confidently, "Tell the chairwoman I have already left a clue behind. Her parents will know once they receive it."

Mr. Bruce relayed the message again to the chairwoman, conveying Scott's words. The chairwoman nodded approvingly and remarked, "You did well." With that, Mr. Bruce ended the call.
