20) Pteranadon Treasure hunt

After the skill rework, I realised that my skills were very weak compared to before so I had to get stronger and I have to do it fast. I killed a flame Dilo and collected its core. The description of the core had changed after I used my knowledge skill on it. It said that everybody has a 5 per cent chance to obtain a star point from the core just by consuming it. But that wasn't the problem.

I could absorb the cores using absorption ability which will guarantee that I will gain a star point. They reworked my absorption skill so that I can only use the absorption skill five times a day. This is just a Nerf in my abilities. But my absorption skill also gained another feature which is supposed to help me to make things fair.

The secondary option was worth the loss. The secondary option allowed my absorption skill to also take a part in the stats of the Enemies I have killed. Since I am weak right now I went to the peak of a mountain which was named The Whispering Peak. The peak of that mountain is above the clouds. Strong winds flow through the whole mountain regularly.

It is also the someplace of many flying dinosaurs like the Pteranodons(Ptera) and Quetzalcoatlus(quets). Flying dinosaurs have a long mouth like that of a crane. They are very fast and they prefer eating fish from the lakes. They make a whistling sound when they fly. These whistling sounds and their screeches are the reason why they named this mountain The Whispering Peak.

I am going to tame a Ptera so that I can get from one place to another by putting a saddle on them and riding them. I was planning to get a wind element Ptera but I already have a Theri with a wind element. I was able to get the knowledge that when a pteranodon flies into a deep and rainy cloud and gets hit by lightning it has a small chance to evolve into a lightning Pteranodon. Its a Pteranodon treasure hunt.

No sane Pteranodons would do something like that so lightning Pteranodons are very rare. Most of the flying dinosaurs pick a high peak as their home and lay eggs in a cave at the top of a mountain. so that most of its predators can't get its eggs. It is not easy to climb the peak as the pteranodons can pick you up and drop you from above the clouds.

It's a good thing I have the shadow spikes ability. I climbed the mountain and when a Pteranodon came to pick me up I used shadow spikes to attack the Pteranodon and bound it in one place using Viper lock. I created a saddle using the skins of triceratops I killed before. I thought of taming this triceratops but I had no way of taming it.

My knowledge skill activated saying elemental dinosaurs like to be fed elemental cores of the same element. I had no wind orbs so I killed it. Shadow spikes which deal continuous damage if it is not removed from your body and the viper lock which makes it so that you can't move is a deadly combo.

I absorbed the wind core and gained the 1-star point and unlocked the wind element skill section. I used 2-star points to gain the skill Sonic speed. This skill allows me to run as fast as sound but it drains my mana at a monstrous rate. I also gained 10 agility stat points from the core.

I continued my journey to the top and used Sonic speed only when I was discovered by a flying dinosaur. I was almost out of mana but I was able to see it. I was able to see a Pteranodon with lightning coming out of its wings. Since the Pteranodon survived lightning it was very weak. A Quetzalcoatlus took this opportunity to try and kill the Pteranodon. How dare that Quet try to kill something I have my eyes on. I will make sure that Quet goes through Hell
