[37] New look

As we entered the luxury clothing store, the shopkeeper cast us an up-down look that practically reeked of disdain.

"Can I help you?" he asked in a tone that made it abundantly clear he didn't think we could afford anything in his store.

Without a word, I motioned for Sera and Lila to step forward. They both moved in sync, each of them carrying a heavy box.

"We'd like to make some purchases." I stated, my tone neutral as they set the boxes down with a resounding thunk.

The shopkeeper's eyes widened as Sera and Lila opened the boxes to reveal the glittering mounds of gold within.

"Will this be sufficient?" I asked, a slight smile playing on my lips.

The shopkeeper stammered, "Y-yes, of course! Right away, sir! Please, let me show you our finest selections!"

"Also get the ladies something nice to dress as well." I said. The shopkeeper replied:

"Of course, of course!" the shopkeeper sputtered, his gaze flicking from the gold to Sera and Lila and back again. "It would be my pleasure, sir! Our selection of ladies' attire is the finest in the city."

"Please, ladies, follow me," he said, beckoning Sera and Lila to follow him. He moved with a newfound energy, his previous disdain replaced with a fervor to cater to our every whim.

"May I suggest some of our luxurious silk gowns?" He asked, looking over his shoulder at the girls with a wide, somewhat forced smile. "They're imported directly from the high kingdoms, crafted by the best seamstresses. Or perhaps you would prefer something a bit more... modest? We have a wide selection of beautifully embroidered dresses in the latest fashion."

While the male shop keeper was occupied, a female shop keeper approached me:

"Sir, we have an assortment of the finest tailored suits and casual wear, fit for a king. What may I assist you with?"

"Make me look...Fancy." I said. The shop keeper began to recommend me clothes:

"Certainly, sir," the shopkeeper said with a glint in her eye.

"The first set I would recommend is this one," she said, pointing towards a rack with a dark navy blue suit. "It's a bespoke three-piece suit made from pure Mulberry silk. The suit jacket is single-breasted with peak lapels and flap pockets, while the trousers are flat fronted with a streamlined, modern fit. It comes with a matching silk tie and crisp white shirt. With the correct accessories, you would look the epitome of sophistication and elegance."

"The second set," she continued, pointing towards another rack, "is a bit more relaxed but nonetheless dapper. It's a set of Etalian-tailored cashmere blend separates in charcoal grey. The sports jacket has a subtle plaid pattern and is paired with matching trousers and a lavender dress shirt. Paired with a tie, it gives off a refined yet approachable look."

"Lastly," she led me to another section, "I would recommend this ensemble. It's perfect for semi-formal events. This is a merino wool, crew neck, cable knit sweater in burgundy, paired with tailored wool blend trousers in a deep brown. Layer it with this crisp, light blue dress shirt, and you would look stylish without appearing overly formal."

Each of the ensembles exuded luxury and sophistication, the meticulous craftsmanship evident in every stitch and seam. I could see myself looking refined and fancy in any of these outfits. It was now just a matter of choosing one.

"I think I will go with the first one." I rubbed my chin.

"It looks absolutely stunning on u sir, I will get the bag at once." she said, as she walked to retrieve the clothes.

A moment later, the girls remerged from the dressing rooms and showed up in their new outfits.

"Do-Does it look good?" Sera blushed as she spoke in her usual tsundere tone.

"Is my clothing to your taste...Master?" Lila tapped her index fingers together nervously as she looked down sideways.

Sera was wearing a beautiful crimson dress. It was a floor-length gown made from shimmering silk that molded to her body perfectly. The dress had an off-shoulder design, revealing her pale shoulders. The front of the dress was adorned with intricate silver embroidery, which trailed down the bodice and onto the flowing skirt, lending an air of opulence to the entire outfit. Paired with a matching silver choker and a set of delicate crystal earrings, Sera looked absolutely stunning.

Lila, on the other hand, chose a more demure outfit, befitting her introverted personality. She was in a flowing chiffon gown of pastel blue. The gown had a modest v-neck and delicate cap sleeves. The bodice was embroidered with floral motifs in white thread, and a satin ribbon cinched at the waist flowed down into a gently billowing skirt. Paired with a delicate pearl necklace and matching earrings, she looked every bit like a picture of soft elegance.

"You girls look absolutely stunning, now let's get ready." I grinned.
