[163] Aftershock

The crowd erupted in an overwhelming cacophony of cheering, gasping, and clapping. The room was buzzing with disbelief and excitement, the air thick with shock.

"Wang-Yi-Fei won?" someone exclaimed incredulously.

"I can't believe it... He actually did it!" another voice chimed in, shock and awe threading their words.

"Wang-Yi-Fei, you're incredible!" a woman's voice yelled out, followed by a wave of agreement from others.

"Unbelievable! He beat Asus at his own game!" someone shouted over the din, their voice full of wonder.

"I told you! He's the best!" A burly man bellowed proudly.

"Nonsense, this must be a trick," an elderly voice piped up, suspicion evident.

"But the cards... they don't lie," a younger voice countered, full of awe.

The room was filled with an electrifying energy, a mixture of shock, disbelief, and awe as they processed the unexpected turn of events. Despite the few doubtful voices, the prevailing sentiment was one of admiration and amazement for my victory.

Each of the girls had a unique reaction:

Aurelia, fiery and prideful as ever, couldn't help but smile, her eyes shining with undisguised admiration. "I knew he could do it," she declared, her voice carrying a hint of smugness, as if my victory somehow reflected on her as well.

Sera, her tsundere tendencies showing, flushed a bit as she turned her head, trying to hide her smile. "Hmph, of course he did," she mumbled, but the pride in her voice couldn't be concealed.

Kuroko, ever the feisty one, jumped up, her arms raised in triumph. "That's our man!" she yelled, her exuberance filling the room.

Lila, kind and introverted, clapped softly, her eyes sparkling with joy. She gave a relieved sigh, whispering, "Thank goodness..."

Nia, the playful and chill one, simply gave a knowing nod and a wink. "Saw that coming," she said, her voice rich with amusement.

Isolde, dominant and seductive, had an approving smirk on her face. "As expected of our leader," she commented, her voice sultry and pleased.

Lastly, Yuki, gentle yet seductive, clapped her hands softly, her eyes filled with admiration and affection. "Well done, Fei-sama," she said, her voice like a soothing melody.

Asus leaned forward, his sharp eyes scrutinizing the cards laid on the table, the twinkle in them dimming. His hands hovered over the deck, a rare look of uncertainty crossing his features. He picked up the cards one by one, observing them closely, as if suspecting some sort of trick.

His gaze flitted back to me, questioning. But seeing the genuine relief in my eyes, he slowly withdrew, leaning back in his chair. His fingers drummed on the table in a slow, rhythmic pattern, the only sign of his internal turmoil.

A soft sigh escaped his lips, and he let his hand fall away from the cards. His expression hardened, but there was an unmistakable glint of respect in his eyes as he looked at me. "You got me, Yi-Fei," he admitted, raising his glass in a salute. "Well played."

Q: How did you think Wang-Yi-Fei won?
