Side story-Harith

"All right, that'll be enough content for today." announced Mr. Ibrahim.

"Make sure to review tomorrow's readings and go over the week's content."

"Also the term test is coming up, revise well!"

With that we all stood up behind our chairs and when given the permission, we all scattered outside the classroom.

"Harith, wait up!" Aarif yelled form behind. I turn around to see him dashing from the other side of the corridor. 'What a joker.' I think to myself. He catches up and now me, Aarif and Shareef walk down the hall together. " You know all too well that you're not meant to run in the corridors." I reprimand him. "I know, I know!" He affirms but sometimes I do wonder. " What lesson do we have now?" He asks, as careless as ever. "Homeroom." I respond. Sometimes I really worry for this guy, honestly. How can someone be so air-headed and care-free as him? I don't know what goes on in his head. But aside from the lack of awareness, clumsiness and blunders, he is a good guy. Really good for when you need advice and always gets top 5 in our class somehow. Other than him There's Huzaifah, Raiden and Antonio and Eric. Out of the bunch Antonio is a a year senior and Raiden a year junior. Eric and Huzaifah are the same age as me. I like the friend group we formed compared to the other groups. Whereas the other groups all compose of people of the same background or social status, we are varied. Aarif is a commoner and Eric is a noble while Raiden is a from a duchy. We all are similar in the sense that we don't really care for social statuses or our background. Aarif lives locally and commutes to and from school. He aspires to be a merchant but I don't see how he's getting their with the attitude he has. He's introduced me to the commoner way of life and to be honest it is kind of fun to be able to wonder around the town and get up to all sorts. You don't get such freedom in higher class families, no way! Huzaifah is from Stagnate in the south east peninsula. Really good at helping you deal with problems, smart and popular to boot. Although he's popular he still chooses to hang out with us. He claims we're more fun. Then there's Antonio from Andalos, a port city with mostly sunny whether and good overseas trade. He always has a good batch of sweets and other stuff ready whenever we visit him. His fencing really is something else though. Raiden lives in the far east in the land of Eisen. He excels in swordsmanship and wants to be a knight. Really admirable of him to do if you ask me. His country is the furthest out of all of our countries and is far different to all of us in terms of the culture and tradition. They specialise in textiles and seafoods. I haven't really had sea food before because you don't really get much fish mongers there. So when he offered me fish, I found it a bit exciting and a bit daunting but surprisingly, it actually tastes nice. It's not like land animals but has a unique taste to it. Their clothes and customs are very unfamiliar to me but I am aware of them as I did take lessons of different customs and traditions of different places for situations like these. Eric is from the west. Really enthusiastic and adventurous in nature. He aspires to be a traveller.

On the way we greet Antonio and Raiden walks with us to his class where he bids us goodbye. Me,Shareef and Aarif sat next to each other and Huzaifah joined us after a bit. He was chatting with the other boys then came to us. He greeted us we talked for a bit before homeroom began. The bets part is that Huzaifah, Aarif and me are roommates so that makes things even better for me. Raiden stays over at our room on most days so that adds to the fun. Overall, school has been going really good so far. There's a rigid acceptance of discrimination at this school. Shareef was teased by others in our class in the initial stages but we taught those bullies a lesson. No one messes with my best bud and gets away with it. We had a match with them in a couple fields like the sword, martial arts, literature and more. Frankly speaking, they were sorely beat. Not to mention, Shareef is doing really well in his studies. He excels at history, horse-riding and maths.

So yeah, that's how we partially tackled that issue and since the it has been getting better.
