Nathalie Quinlan didn't take the ragtag bunch before her seriously and, pointing at the vegetables trampled into pulp on the ground, asked, "Did you do this?"
The hoodlums paused, then snickered and said, "What if we did?"
"It's no big deal, pay up!"
Straight to the point.
The hoodlums seemed amused by her, their eyes roving over her body with undisguised lechery as they said, "Alright then, you tell big brother which school and class you're in, and I'll come to your school to pay you another day."
Nathalie's eyes flared with a hint of wildness as she smiled, "I'm not free any other day, how about today?"
"Ha-ha-ha, today? Sure, there's a hotel ahead. How about you spend the night with big brother, and I'll give you money, as much as you want. I'll even give you my life!"
"Nathalie!"
Aunt Cagwin's face turned pale with fear as she yanked Nathalie's arm, worried she might disclose her school, shaking her head incessantly.
