Before Nathalie Quinlan resorted to violence, she hadn't given much thought to the relationship between Jecksen Wilmar and Ivy Wilmar. It was a moment of surprise when she suddenly saw Ivy, whom she hadn't seen in a long time.
After the surprise, she quietly listened to Ivy's accusations and then, when Ivy questioned her, Nathalie looked up; her deep, dark eyes locked with Ivy's as she set her phone on the table and said with a hoarse voice, "...Then I'll apologize."
"Apologize?" Ivy was taken aback, and judging by Nathalie's defiant demeanor, she didn't seem like someone who was about to apologize.
An unbelievable thought crossed Ivy's mind, and she gazed in astonishment at the girl sitting before her, reduced to a prisoner at the mercy of her accusers.
"You say apologize, but who's apologizing to whom? Are you apologizing to Jecksen, or are you expecting Jecksen to apologize to you?"
Why did Ivy get the impression that, given Nathalie's attitude, the latter was more likely?
