The Difference Between Us

The light from outside poured into the room through the giant opening left by Axel where a wall once stood.

The area was still shrouded from the smoke and dust from the attack, so he still had no clue how well his combo attack worked.

"Show yourself.." He mumbled to himself as he scanned for any type of movement. "I can definitely still feel your energy. I know that didn't do you in." However, he greatly hoped that it at least crippled her a little. He had sacrificed quite a bit of energy to reach this point after all.

Axel spotted his sword not far behind him since it had been blasted away from the wall after it exploded. He slowly walked backwards until he reached it and bent down to pick it up, keeping his eye on the dissipating smoke screen.

He gripped the handle of his sword and picked it up off the ground.

"That was a clever move there."
