Planning for the Future

Raymond: Break Point.

Geo: Huh? What is a break point?

Raymond: Oh well, it is an association. In this association, you put very bad people away. I work for this association.

Geo: Oh, so that lab coat is like a uniform.

Raymond: Yes, that is exactly it!

Geo: ... Wait, if your job is to put bad people away, how are you doing that job right now?

Raymond: Huh?

Geo: I mean, you told me before that people only usually wear uniforms to school, work, or special events. I don't really think you consider walking us up the hallway and accompanying us around the facility a special event since you do it every day. Not to offend you in any way, but you definitely look too old to be in school. So that only leaves work. Raymond, if your job is to put bad people away, how is this your job?

Raymond: ...

In his entire life, Geo has never once doubted or distrusted Raymond. But the way Raymond found it hard to respond scared Geo much more than he would like to admit.

Raymond: Well—

Before Raymond could explain, a man in all black walked out of the warp.

Guard: Sir, is everything okay over here? The other two have already started washing themselves up.

When this guard said this, an expression of relief came across Raymond's face.

Raymond: Listen, I can't go into much detail yet. Just know that I will tell you everything when you are ready.

Raymond smiled, showing off his perfect white teeth. This explanation put Geo's mind and heart at ease. It wasn't that Raymond was holding back information from him; it was that Geo wasn't ready for the information yet. So just like that, the slight doubt the boy had about Raymond disappeared.

Raymond: Alright, Geo, go ahead and walk through.

Geo stepped up to the pillar of light, and it was bright enough for him to need to close his eyes to walk into it. When he first walked into it, he felt a little pain, but the pain left as soon as it arrived.

When he opened his eyes, he found himself in a room similar to the lobby earlier, but there were only six doors and no windows at all. Steam was coming from the bottom of two of the six doors.

Geo: I better hurry up and wash.

Geo then walked to the farthest door on the left. He walked into the room, and the door closed right behind him and locked. Geo found himself in a white room with square patterns all over the floor and walls. The glowing orange part of his necklace then turned a cyan blue, and one of the squares on the wall opened up and a shower head came out. Water then began to spray out of the shower head and hit Geo.

Geo: AH! THAT'S COLD! TURN UP THE TEMPATURE!

When Geo says that the temperature slowly began to rise.

Feminine Voice: 15 minutes, starting now.

Geo: Yeah, I know.

A square on the wall next to Geo opened, revealing a bottle of soap. Geo quickly took off his one-piece and his underclothes and began washing his body. When he was done showering, another one of the squares opened up, revealing a clean towel hanging on a steel rack. Geo took it and quickly began to dry himself off.

Geo: How much longer do I have?

Feminine Voice: 6 minutes and 53 seconds

Geo: Just enough time ... I think.

When Geo was done drying off, he wrapped the towel around his waist, and a square on the ground opened up as a sink slowly rose out. There was a toothbrush, a half-full tube of tooth paste, floss, a cup of mouthwash, and a normal hair brush on the sides of the sink. After Geo is done with his oral hygiene, a square in the wall right above the sink opens and reveals a mirror. Geo took the brush and began brushing his hair.

Feminine Voice: 1 minute remaining

Geo: Already?!

Geo begins brushing his hair faster than he already was. He looks at himself in the mirror and gives a thumbs up.

Geo: I am ready now.

A square in the middle of the floor opened up, and a small white pillar came out. On top of this white pillar were clean underclothes and a clean orange one-piece. Geo put them on and then went to the door and exited the room. When Geo came out, the door was closed and locked behind him. When he came out, he saw Kyle and Sarah standing right in front of the warp.

Raymond: Is everyone finished?

Geo: Yes!

Sarah: Mhm.

Kyle: Kill yourself.

Raymond: Well, that's great, and right on schedule too.

Raymond pulls his card out again and holds it up to the wall. A panel on the wall appeared and opened up. Instead of there being one big red button like there was in the hallway earlier, there were six buttons, each of which was a different shade of blue. Each button had a word under it, but all three of the kids were too far away to read them. Raymond pressed a button that was ocean blue. When he did this, the warp activated, but instead of being sky blue, it was ocean blue.

Raymond: Alright, time for breakfast, everyone!

Raymond did his signature smile.

Raymond: Now continue to travel through the warp, everyone.

————————————————————————

Geo found himself in a white room with five tables and four chairs at each table. There was salt, pepper, syrup, and a cup with forks and knives inside it in the middle of each table. There were already three plates with eggs, bacon, french toast, and grapes on them at a table. Kyle and Sarah go to the table with the food and start eating. Geo went to the same table and sat down. A part of him felt uneasy about being so close to Kyle right now, but he decided it was best if he just tried to hide these feelings. There were men in black clothing with their backs touching the walls. Each of these men was holding something Raymond called a "dangerous weapon." Raymond also told Geo that if one of the men in black pointed this weapon at him, he should do everything the man in black said and then come tell him about it immediately after.

Sarah: Why are there so many here but not anywhere else?

Kyle: Probably because Raymond doesn't follow us here because he is too busy setting up the—

Kyle then looked at Geo and gritted his teeth.

Kyle: ... Room.

When Kyle said this, Sarah looked at Geo, and her expression dropped to one of sadness. Geo didn't know why these two were so upset. If anyone should be upset, it should be him. After all, Raymond would never even let him in the playroom.

Geo: Can I ask you all something?

Kyle: Sure, what is it?

Geo: Why do you all hate Raymond so much?

Kyle: ...

Sarah: ...

Kyle and Sarah both looked down at their food to avoid eye contact with Geo. Because of the guards in the room their voices went down to a whisper.

Kyle: Geo I know you have a lot of questions, and I am sorry, but I can't answer them.

Geo: Why not?

Sarah: Why can't we just tell him?

Kyle: It isn't like he would believe us.

Geo: ...

Geo's heart began to race. Both Sarah and now Kyle had sad expressions on their faces, and he didn't know why.

Geo: I want to help you guys.

Kyle and Sarah look at Geo.

Kyle: What?

Geo: You guys are upset, right? I want to help you guys feel better.

A small smile forms on Sarah's face.

Kyle: Are you absolutely sure you want to help us no matter what you have to do?

Geo: Yes.

Kyle: 100%?

Geo: Yes

Kyle: ...

Kyle closed his eyes and put his hand to his chin as if he were thinking about something.

Kyle: I guess there is a way you can help us.
