The Guilty

Kurai didn't end up getting as much sleep as he'd planned to since the happenings of the following day kept churning around in his mind.

He kept trying to find answers for everything that he imagined could go wrong during the festival, and yet he knew that he couldn't plan for everything, which was quite frustrating.

He also didn't want to leave the room in case it seemed suspicious, so he was stuck counting sheep until he finally dozed off in the early hours of the morning.

When it was finally time to wake up, Kurai felt like he'd been hit by a truck as his eyes refused to stay open, but he managed to drag himself out of bed to wash up, which left him feeling quite a bit better.

He then made his way down to the hall where they usually served their food but then decided to stick to his own rations as he was reminded of what happened the night before.

Even though it was the day of the festival, everything still seemed to happen as it normally would.
