Mortifae

Kurai Tachi is a normal student who just wants to study and do well. Lin Hayashi is his childhood friend and roommate who seems determined to spend the rest of her life playing games.

When Lin purchases headgear for a chance to enter the beta of the newest VR game 'Seradeihn', Kurai suddenly finds himself trapped in the game in an Avatar that he doesn't know how to use instead, but not for long.

Soon he finds that the game itself may hold a link to memories he'd long ago thought lost and the picture they paint proves to be a lot more sinister as they expose a plot that would shock the world as well as the other dimensions that soon become involved.

Seradeihn

After the pylons were destroyed, the portal steadily became smaller, but strangely enough, it didn't feel like Kurai was possibly losing his last chance at getting back to Earth.

In fact, for some reason, he actually felt relieved that he would stay and the realization hit him like a punch in the gut that, apparently, he'd never really fit in anywhere on Earth anyway.

Sure, he had Lin and her family, and they were great, but with everything that happened with his own family, even if he didn't truly remember, the thought of going back to Earth and resuming his rather dull and overly-controlled life almost had him wanting to set the portal on fire or something, just to make sure that it wouldn't forcefully take him back.

Lilith seemed to notice the change in him because she stepped closer to him, "Is everything alright? You have this really strange air hanging around you ever since we got here. Do you know where this portal leads?"
