Princess Assassin

"Are these yours, Lady Runa?" Elke took a peek at the earrings. "The design seems outdated. Could this be a token given to you by your mother, passed down through generations?"

In fact, that was precisely the thought that crossed Yohana's mind. The stones she had gathered seemed incomplete, and these earrings might be the missing link to dispel Yohana's curse.

"I don't quite recall, Your Highness. May I take them with me for a few days? I will search my memory to determine if these earrings belong to me," Yohana said.

"Isn't this similar to your necklace and my cufflinks?" Fabian asked under his breath.

Yohana nodded. "I'll see if these earrings could complete the stone."

The stones dangling from the earrings were rough and uncut, making Yohana more convinced that this might be what she needed. She handed them to Thea, who wrapped the earrings with the handkerchief she took out earlier.
