Princess Assassin

"What's going on? You look really serious. I also heard about The Black Rose Society. What's that gotten to do with us?" Yohana approached Fabian.

Fabian nodded to signal Laurens to exit the room. With just the two of them in the study, Fabian took a deep breath before divulging his lifelong secret.

The Black Rose Society was born out of Fabian's dissatisfaction with being unable to find Yohana when he needed to. It frustrated him when he had no power to do anything. He told her that he was aware that The Black Rose Society did a lot of illegal activities in the name of justice.

"This might not be the kind of justice one thinks of, but it is the best one I could offer," said Fabian.

He had promised himself that he would not ask for Yohana's understanding about this, but he found himself hoping. Duke Welden had taught his children to uphold justice and be righteous at all times, no matter how many negative influences came.
