Let Me Come with You

Things didn't go exactly as Elisa had planned. Which part of this fulfilled Elisa's wish to stay away from Sir Karl?

A few hours ago, when the injured people were already transported to the shelter houses, Elisa and Sir Karl stood before an empty carriage in the courtyard.

Sir Karl was a doctor, and he was much more needed among the sick instead of in the palace, where the people left behind were the unscathed ones. He also stated that his profession drove him to where the sick people were.

However, why did he just stand in front of the carriage door instead of climbing into it?

He turned around and seemed to struggle to bring out the words in his tongue for a while. He repeatedly opened his mouth only to close it again.

"What is it? Why are you hesitating? Just tell me if you have anything to say!" Elisa snapped because Sir Karl's behavior irritated her.
