Princess Assassin

Why did that single sentence make Elisa's heart beat even faster? What was wrong with her? She wasn't like this even when she met with Duke Fabian. She simply admired his handsome face and was always shy around him.

But this feeling? This was new. Elisa had never felt something like this before. It was uncomfortable.

She rushed to exit the carriage. But just as she stepped down, her foot caught on the hem of her dress, and she began to lose her balance. Just as she was about to tumble forward onto the ground, a strong arm shot out and wrapped around her waist.

She felt weightless as she was lifted into the air by none other than Sir Karl. The world around her seemed to fade away as she gazed into his eyes.

"Your Highness, are you alright?" he asked.
