Setting an Example

Yohana initially planned to wait until Sir Karl climbed back down. She thought that it would be better for Princess Elisa to pull the rope and keep it on the balcony. That would help Sir Karl's future visits, and Yohana didn't need to always be there for him to see Princess Elisa.

However, her plan had to be scrapped when some knights and servants got suspicious upon seeing her and Princess Elke roaming about in that area.

Princess Elke dissuaded the situation by talking to the knights and servants, eventually leaving the premises. Shortly after, Yohana was also forced to leave. If someone came here, they would notice the rope immediately, and Sir Karl's presence in Princess Elisa's chamber would be exposed.

Since the spot was covered by wall vines and bushes, it was not a path people took to walk around. The vines and bushes also helped conceal the rope, but when someone got too close to the spot, the rope would be visible.
