The End of Her

She thought it was the end of her. But then, suddenly, she fell to the ground with a loud thud. Her body hurt all over, but since it wasn't a high fall, she was sure that she didn't suffer from any broken bones or any severe injuries. The worst would be bruises and some scratches.

The arm that made contact with the rubbles on the ground stung. She could hear the sound of people stomping around. Some people bumped into each other, and they were screaming. The horse neighed violently. From the noises, Runa could tell that it was a pandemonium.

She was coughing, gasping for air as she listened to the noise around her. She rocked herself to the sides, trying to get up. The rope around her wrists was tightly tied, but she was able to remove the sack covering her head.

Her time seemed to stop as she witnessed the chaos. Everyone was moving. Everyone was doing something, while she froze, sitting on the ground. What had happened?
