Chapter 19

In an abandoned underground tunnel, darkness prevailed.

As far as the eye could see, there was silence and stillness.

Only an occasional rat crawling out of the pipes foraging for food brought a hint of life to this desolate place.

Several figures abruptly appeared here.

They hung upside down, clinging to the ceiling and walls of the underground tunnel, defying gravity and moving effortlessly.

These individuals were none other than Mark, Miles, Gwen, and Peni.

They formed the second action group for this infiltration mission.

As for the members not present here—Noir, Spider-Ham, Middle-aged Peter, and the newly joined Prowler—they constituted the first action group.

Here was the plan:

The first action group, consisting of members with superior combat capabilities, would directly infiltrate the vicinity of the particle collider in a relatively conspicuous manner.

By doing so, they would draw most of Kingpin and his associates' attention.

This would not only ensure the safety of Miles' parents but also create an opportunity for the second action group to infiltrate unnoticed.

The second action group, however, had weaker combat abilities due to the presence of newcomers like Mark and Miles.

Even with Mark's insights and Miles' knowledge of his abilities' general development direction, time was limited, and mere knowledge wouldn't be of much use.

Nevertheless, Miles had previous experience with infiltration, making him the ideal guide for this group.

Their task was to directly penetrate the vicinity of the particle collider and seize the opportunity to insert a small device into its mainframe, destroying it.

The mission was relatively straightforward, and if lucky, they might not even need to engage in combat.

This was also the reason why Middle-aged Peter and the others felt at ease with Miles accompanying them.

Otherwise, they would never have allowed Miles to join them.

Because they could escape this world using the collider, it didn't matter if Kingpin knew about their plan or not.

But Miles was a part of this world and couldn't leave with them.

Once Miles joined them, it meant that he would have to confront Kingpin head-on!

Of course, there might be another option—to eliminate Kingpin directly.

However, not everyone agreed with this approach.

In most worlds, Spider-Men refrained from killing.

The only ones who supported this option were Mark and Noir

Oh, and the Prowler.

Even Miles, the person directly involved, was torn about whether or not to kill Kingpin after defeating him.

This kind of reasoning was something that Mark found difficult to understand.

Nevertheless, since this is Miles' world, the decision is ultimately his.

The opinions of others can only serve as references.

"Mark, I have to say, the suit you designed for me is amazing! Thank you!" Miles thanked Mark, who was beside him, as he swiftly crawled ahead.

Now, Miles truly looked like a real Spider-Man—at least in appearance.

He was no longer wearing the cheap Spider-Man costume he bought from a roadside store to commemorate the hero. Instead, he had put on a real suit made of high-tech nanofiber material.

The suit was predominantly black, with red accents on the shoulders and hands, giving it a cool and stylish look.

In Miles' words, this was his "dream outfit."

Hearing his words, Mark chuckled inwardly, 'It's the original design of your suit. Of course, you would like it.'

"No need to thank me, Miles," Mark smiled and said, "By the way, have you figured out how to deal with Kingpin? If we want to gather our strength and take him down, now is the best opportunity."

Gwen glared at Mark and said, "How can you encourage him to kill?"

Mark shrugged, "I'm just stating the truth. If we don't get rid of Kingpin, Miles and his family will live under his threat for the rest of their lives. After all, since Aaron chose to betray Fisk, he has been marked for death."

Hearing this, Gwen fell into silence.

Because her father was a police officer, she had been taught from a young age not to commit illegal acts, especially killing.

However, Mark's words did make sense.

If they couldn't find a way to eliminate Mark, Miles' family would never find peace.

Now there were only two options.

Either Miles' uncle died, removing the threat, and Kingpin would no longer pursue his family.

Or Kingpin dies, solving the problem at its root, once and for all.

However, Miles' thoughts were similar to Gwen's.

His father was also a police officer, and he had been taught to uphold the law from a young age.

Miles hesitated for a moment and said, "Perhaps we can defeat him and show him how powerful we are. Maybe then he'll give up on targeting us?"

Mark chuckled, finding it quite funny and utterly naive.

Even Peni, the young girl, couldn't bear it and sarcastically remarked, "Kingpin is the biggest crime boss in this country. Do you think he'll just give up just because of that?"

"Uh," Miles was momentarily speechless. "What if we defeat him and make him sign a guarantee that he won't harm my family anymore?"

Gwen rolled her eyes and said, "Do you think this is a game of make-believe?"

"Then what should we do?" Miles felt distressed.

He didn't want to kill anyone.

But when he thought about what Mark had said, he had to try to figure out a solution.

If his parents were killed because of him, not only would he never forgive himself, but he might even contemplate suicide.

"Alright, quiet down," Gwen raised her hand, silencing everyone.

Mark and the others immediately became alert.

They had arrived at their destination.

Through the gaps between the abandoned iron frames piled up at the entrance of the tunnel, they could see a faint light ahead.

That was where the particle collider was located.

However, the four of them didn't make any hasty movements. Instead, they patiently waited for the right moment.

They needed to wait for the four members of the first action team to achieve certain results before they could start their own mission.

[On the other side]

On a tall suspension tower, four figures hung or stood.

They were the four members of the first action team.

Pot-belly Peter looked at the brightly lit building ahead and the vehicles bustling below it in surprise. He said, "Why is it so lively here?"

Spider Noir replied, "Obviously, not to welcome us."

Prowler's voice was calm, reminiscent of the calm before a storm, "Kingpin is hosting a charity banquet here to mourn Spider-Man."

""Huh?""

"Well, this is interesting," Middle-aged Peter smirked sarcastically.

The Spider-Man of this world was killed by Kingpin, and now he was holding a memorial service for him?

Noir laughed, "Guess how much money he'll make from it?"

Spider-Ham angrily said, "Is this the true face of a capitalist? Watch me beat his ass!"
