Chapter 66

"Hmm," Mark crouched down, clutching his head and muttered softly, "Why do the police here have such a grudge against Spider-Man? Could this be the case of a father-in-law disliking his son-in-law the more he sees him?"

Thinking this, he peeked his head out again and shouted, "Hey! Buddy, can you wrap this up quickly? Need any help?"

Andrew Spider kicked Lizard Doctor to the ground upon hearing Mark's words. Although he felt a bit unwilling, he quickly shouted, "Yes, yes, come quickly, help!"

Not that they needed to be saved, but he was truly frustrated by their current predicament.

Although the officers outside hadn't fired their guns, Spider Sense was constantly warning him of the hostility coming from all directions.

This hostility even somewhat interfered with Lizard Doctor's hostility from nearby, causing him to make several judgment errors.

Thankfully, thanks to Mark's guidance and a previous major battle at school, he had gained deeper insights into combat, preventing Lizard from seizing an opportunity.

Hearing Andrew Spider's plea for help, Mark made a quick decision and leaped from the rooftop.

"Spider-Man, cease your activities immediately!" The warning voice from the helicopter came again.

Meanwhile, in Mark's mind, a nerve suddenly tightened.

Spider Sense detected extreme danger!

He immediately activated his Quantum Blink skill in mid-air, disappearing from his original location and reappearing dozens of meters away.

Soon after, a sniper bullet whizzed past where he had been, striking the ground below.

"What the fuck?!" Mark cursed.

While he had seen these officers in the original plot being indiscriminate and firing at Spider-Man, he hadn't expected that, instead of hitting Andrew Spider, these guys would first target him!

Could he endure this?

Quantum Blink!

Mark activated the skill once again, reappearing inside the helicopter.

The helicopter held three individuals: a pilot, a police captain seated in the co-pilot's seat—George Stacy, Gwen Stacy's father—and a police officer in the backseat armed with a sniper rifle.

As Mark appeared, he overheard George Stacy questioning the sniper officer, "Didn't I say not to shoot unless absolutely necessary?"

"Wasn't that absolutely necessary just now?" the sniper officer said in a daze.

"It was indeed necessary," Mark replied, "You missed your chance just now, and now it's my turn."

"How did you get here?" George Stacy turned his head abruptly, looking at him in astonishment.

As for the sniper officer seated next to Mark, he hastily swung the sniper rifle at Mark.

Mark reached out and easily caught the sniper rifle in his hand.

"Don't point that toy at me, it's quite unsatisfying," Mark remarked.

Then, he kicked the sniper officer who had shot at him, sending him tumbling down.

"Ah!" The sniper officer let out a terrified scream.

"0.5, 1 second," Mark silently estimated the time, extended his hand outside the cockpit, and shot out a strand of web.

"You killed him!" George Stacy pulled out his handgun and aimed it at Mark.

Mark gestured towards the strand of web in his hand, then casually stuck it to the cockpit.

"No, his life is in your hands, Captain Stacy."

As he spoke, Mark took a light leap and jumped from the helicopter, descending from dozens of meters above the ground.

George Stacy leaned out of the window, trying to see down below.

After a while, he finally spotted the sniper officer suspended beneath the helicopter by the long strand of web.

"Captain?" the pilot cautiously requested instructions.

George Stacy rubbed his temples and said, "Fly over to the building over there and let Tari down first."

"Yes," the pilot heaved a sigh of relief and promptly followed the instructions.

George Stacy's face turned grim as he sank into thought.

He understood that the actions of this Spider-Man just now were a warning to him.

The implication was that he had the ability to kill them at any moment. The fact that he didn't take a life indicated that, for the time being, he didn't want to be their enemy.

However, from his action of tossing Tari away, he was also making his stance clear.

If they were really going to be enemies, he would fight back.

After a moment's hesitation, George Stacy picked up the radio, "Aim your guns at Lizard Doctor, and ignore Spider-Man's actions for now."

The officers below adjusted their gun barrels upon hearing the message, and a collective sigh of relief swept through them.

Though they didn't know what had happened, compared to Lizard Doctor, who appeared monstrous, Spider-Man seemed more relatable.

Most people are visual creatures.

Given a choice between ugly and beautiful, they naturally lean towards the beautiful side.

With the officers no longer scrutinizing them, Andrew Spider's Spider Sense ceased its erratic behavior.

With his passive ability restored, his combat capabilities were instantly enhanced.

At this moment, Mark also jumped down from the sky.

With a mid-air kick reminiscent of a true martial artist, he sent himself plummeting.

The downward momentum, combined with his own strength, made this move incredibly powerful.

Lizard Doctor barely managed to evade some of the attacks, but he couldn't escape the fate of his left hand and a portion of his body being crushed by Mark's kick.

His body was sent rolling across the ground due to the immense force.

Andrew Spider seized the opportunity and sprayed webs repeatedly.

A massive amount of web instantly formed a cocoon, tightly binding Lizard Doctor to the ground.

"ARRHHHHH!"

Lizard Doctor roared in anger, struggling to break free.

Mark approached and stomped on the back of his head.

The blow to his cerebellum immediately affected his control over his muscles.

The body that had been vibrating incessantly moments ago came to a sudden halt.

Only a pair of eyes continued to roll around ceaselessly, as if looking for which daredevil had been so ruthless.

Mark withdrew his foot and clapped his hands, saying, "Done."

Andrew Spider stared at Mark's ruthless and efficient action, dumbfounded.

It was only now that he realized that when Mark had trained him last night, he had already held back significantly.

"What about him?" Andrew Spider pointed at Lizard Doctor.

Mark shrugged, "You saw it just now. He killed quite a few people. Now it's time for him to face legal consequences. Let them handle the rest."

"Alright," Andrew Spider nodded, "That move you just used was really impressive. Can you teach me?"

"Just a simple application of gravitational potential energy combined with force from the waist and legs. Nothing magical," Mark explained, "By the way, did you notice where he tossed his backpack? The potions inside should be destroyed by us. They're too dangerous."

"It should be around where the fight started. I have a general idea of its location," Andrew Spider said, and then he leaped out first.

Mark followed closely behind.

The group of officers exchanged glances.

However, because they had received prior orders from George Stacy, they didn't intervene. Instead, they approached Lizard Doctor's location.
