Considering the significant energy drain caused by moving between the movie dimension and the animated dimension, this time, after leaving the movie dimension and entering the selected world, Mark decided to stay there for a short time and not return quickly.
So, before that, he wanted to accomplish everything he wished to do and ensure that several other Spider-People he had a good relationship with were well-arranged.
"Gwen, do you want to go back home and check on things?" Mark asked as he gently stroked the hair of the young woman in his arms. They were currently in a suite provided by Harry Osborn, a spacious suite that could serve as their long-term residence in this world, showing Harry's sincerity.
They had been out for over a month now, and for Gwen, who had always been a dutiful girl listening to her parents, being away from home for so long was indeed somewhat "rebellious."
Gwen, her whole body lazy, lay in Mark's arms, with her pretty face resting against his chest. She felt the strong heartbeat beneath the bulging and firm chest muscles, hoping that time could stand still at this moment.
Hesitating for a moment after Mark's question, she shook her head and replied, "I don't really want to go back."
"Is something wrong back there, Gwen?" Mark sensed that something was amiss. Previously, Gwen was so eager to come with him, which could be understood as her having strong feelings for him, leading to her impulsive behavior. Because he had the same feeling.
But now, he keenly felt that Gwen seemed to have some resistance to going back.
"Mm," Mark's mouth was immediately covered by the girl when he lowered his head, and a sweet cherry-like fragrance flowed into his senses through her soft lips, leaving him in a daze.
After a while, with a blushing face, the girl withdrew from Mark's arms, snuggled against him, and breathlessly said, "Don't ask, okay? I don't want to talk about it."
"Alright, Gwen, but I'm your boyfriend, and your concerns are my concerns. If something's bothering you, I hope you can let me face it with you, you understand?" Mark lowered his head, lifting a strand of golden hair that was hanging beside Gwen's ear while he played with it and spoke.
"Yeah," Gwen stretched out her hands and hugged Mark tightly.
"In that case, let's go to Miles' world first," Mark suggested.
"Mm."
Earth-1610, the Ultimate Universe.
Time is the best remedy for healing wounds.
It has been several months since the last major battle. The massive hole caused during the battle has been sealed up and replaced by a new building. Although it's not finished yet, it's said to be a landmark skyscraper with hundreds of floors.
Miles Morales, the Ultimate Spider-Man, wore his distinctive Spider-Man suit, crouching quietly on top of a high-rise building, gazing down at the ongoing construction below.
Over the past few months, his skills have improved significantly, and he has successfully made a name for himself, becoming the new Spider-Man that the public remembers.
However, every time he passes by this place, he stops to look, reminiscing about his friends from other dimensions and the time he spent fighting alongside them.
*Swoosh*
With a sound, Prowler arrived, whizzing through the air.
"Miles?" Prowler removed his mask and spoke softly.
They had just teamed up to take down a kidnapping gang that had abducted a wealthy man's daughter and demanded a ransom. After receiving the money, the gang wanted more, so the wealthy man had to call the police.
That's when the uncle-nephew duo stepped in. Although the kidnapping gang consisted of five or six individuals, each armed with at least one type of weapon, they could be considered a well-armed criminal organization. However, facing Prowler's high-tech gadgets and Miles' superpowers, they had no chance of resisting.
Prowler, Aaron Davis, had initially found this vigilante role a bit childish, but he had persisted because of his nephew.
Now, he was beginning to enjoy it.
People had already given them new nicknames. Due to Miles' physique and voice, which revealed his young age, and to distinguish him from the original Spider-Man, Peter Parker, people had dubbed him "Spider Boy." As for Aaron Davis, because he often wore purple clothes with a purple cape, he was referred to as "The Purple Man." (A/N: Sorry for the bad name, lol)
Since the two of them often worked together, everyone knew Spider Boy and The Purple Man were a new superhero duo.
They embraced this new identity.
Now, with their activities, various merchandise related to them was available in stores. This might also be one of the reasons Aaron Davis enjoyed it.
"Are you thinking about them?" Aaron Davis placed his hand on Miles, looking down, and he immediately understood his thoughts.
Miles nodded, "I wonder how they're doing."
Aaron Davis smiled, "They all have their own lives, and I believe they will live them well. We also need to work hard, you know, Miles."
"Yeah!" Miles nodded firmly, "Uncle Aaron, let's head home."
"Sure, but you better not be late for school." Aaron Davis patted Miles' head slightly, his tone slightly more serious.
"Alright, I got it, haha." Miles was about to jump down from the high-rise when his Spider-Sense suddenly tingled!
"Hmm?" Miles' expression turned serious as he looked around.
Aaron Davis immediately recognized this reaction after months of fighting alongside his nephew. When Miles made such a face, it meant his danger-sensing ability had been triggered!
"Miles, can you pinpoint the location?" Aaron Davis put on his mask, remaining alert while looking around.
"It's over there!" Miles' suddenly turned to the left and shot a strand of web.
"Hey, do we need to greet old friends with such a grand gift?" Mark, similarly, shot a strand of web.
The two strands of web collided in mid-air, their kinetic energy canceling each other out, and they tangled up on the ground.
Miles and Aaron Davis, who were about to take action, both stopped.
Miles looked at Mark and Gwen, removed his mask, and exclaimed, "Mark! Gwen! It's really you!"
"Long time no see." Aaron Davis ceased his stance and removed his mask to greet them.
He held a favorable view of Mark, who had saved him.
"Hey, it's been a while, Miles, Aaron," Mark also greeted them.
"Hi, Miles, and Mr. Davis," Gwen and Aaron Davis weren't very familiar, so they exchanged greetings mainly with Miles.
Miles rushed over and hugged Mark. "It's really you guys, that's amazing."
After hugging Mark, he also wanted to hug Gwen, but Mark saved him halfway through and delivered a "sibling hug" instead, saying, "I'll handle the Gwen part. She's my girlfriend now, and I would get angry if you hugged her."
"Uh... (⊙o⊙)..." Miles was strangled by the pressure, making noises as he choked, "Help, Uncle Aaron, help! I'm sorry, Mark, I won't dare again."
However, Aaron Davis knew Mark wouldn't genuinely hurt Miles. He stood aside, laughing at this peculiar greeting.
"Hmph~" Mark released Miles.
Miles lay on the ground, panting heavily, "Damn it! I didn't expect you to make the first move!"
"Ahem?" Mark raised his fist.
He knew that Miles had a certain interest in Gwen, and he felt it was necessary to make him understand reality. And nothing was more effective at making someone face reality than a punch from a sandbag-sized fist.
"I was wrong," Miles held his head.
"Why did you suddenly come back to this world?" Aaron Davis approached them after they finished fooling around and asked.
Mark answered seriously, "I have an idea, maybe we can resurrect the Spider-Man of this world, so I wanted to give it a try."
Miles immediately straightened up, asking, "Really? Can we really resurrect Mr. Parker?"
"There's a possibility," Mark continued, "Do you remember the OZ factor that I mentioned to you before, a characteristic within your mutated genes?"
"Yes, of course, I remember," Miles nodded. "Your explanation gave me great inspiration, and my abilities have improved tremendously over the past few months. But what does it have to do with resurrecting Mr. Parker?"
Mark explained, "Then you should also remember that within the OZ factor, there's one particular trait called 'immortality.'"
Miles nodded again.
Mark continued, "After my encounters with other Green Goblins in different dimensions, I've gained a better understanding of this immortality trait. Perhaps, its immortality means an extraordinary regenerative ability, even resurrection after death."
"Resurrection after death!" Miles and Aaron Davis widened their eyes, feeling like this was going beyond their comprehension.
Mark nodded, "Remember that Green Goblin I mentioned?"
Miles immediately nodded. Of course, he remembered. He had dealt with Green Goblin several times. The first time was when he had run into the abandoned subway tracks in search of the spider that bit him. There, he witnessed the intense battle between Green Goblin and Spider-Man.
"Yes, I remember that back then, Green Goblin was barely alive after Mr. Parker fought with him, but I never expected him to reappear later," Miles explained.
Aaron Davis knew more about the situation because the first time Miles encountered the Green Goblin, he was also involved in the battle with Spider-Man.
In a way, he was one of the accomplices who had a hand in killing Spider-Man.
"At that time, the Green Goblin was already on the brink of death, but Kingpin had us bring it back to the lab. After injecting a large amount of nutrient fluid, it recovered in just a day!" Aaron Davis speculated as he spoke, "Back then, I thought it was because the Green Goblin had a strong constitution, and it just needed a breather. But now, it seems like it could be because of its ability to die and resurrect, right?"
Mark nodded, "Yes, that's likely the manifestation of the OZ factor's immortality within the Green Goblin serum."
"But how does this relate to resurrecting Spider-Man?" Aaron Davis asked, puzzled.
Mark explained, "Because the spider serum in Miles is a modified version created by Norman Osborn using Spider-Man's spider genes, with additional enhancements from the OZ factor. So, theoretically, Miles also possesses the ability to die and resurrect."
Miles' eyes lit up, "So, if we can inject my blood into Mr. Parker, he can come back to life!"
Mark bonked his head lightly, "First of all, several months have passed. I'm not sure in what condition his body is now, and even the blood type compatibility is a significant issue. If your blood types don't match, it might just cause him to die again."
Miles looked distressed, "Ah, what should we do then? Didn't you say you had a solution?"
Mark nodded, "I do have a solution. Do you remember the exact time of Spider-Man's death on that evening?"
Miles thought carefully and shook his head, "I'm not entirely sure, but I remember I came out of school, took the 6:40 PM subway, and saw Spider-Man and the Green Goblin, along with Uncle Aaron fighting. Later, he was killed by Kingpin, probably around 7:30 or 8:00?"
After pondering for a moment, Aaron Davis interrupted Miles' continuous speculations, "I think it was around 7:40 to 7:45."
All three of them looked at him.
Aaron Davis explained, "Kingpin's collider experiment was set to take place precisely at 7:30 in the evening. Afterward, we had a big fight with the Spider-Man who tried to stop it. Due to Green Goblin's mistake, the collider experiment failed and was damaged. After a few minutes, once the explosions had stopped, we descended to the bottom of the collider and found the Green Goblin's body and the severely injured Spider-Man."
Mark nodded, "Since there's an accurate time, that makes it easier. Wait for me a moment."
With that, he vanished from the spot.
Before they could react, Mark reappeared in front of them, but this time, he held a body in his hand.
A body wearing tattered red and blue Spider-Man armor!
It was the body of this world's Spider-Man, Peter Parker!
During the brief moment he had disappeared, Mark had jumped back to the night Spider-Man died.
After Kingpin killed Spider-Man, they had thrown Spider-Man's body onto the streets outside.
Mark had taken advantage of the situation and used quantum magic to forge a body that looked exactly like Spider-Man's, while bringing the real Peter Parker's body back to the current moment in time.
At this moment, Peter's body hadn't even cooled down.
"You... you can actually time-travel!" Miles stared wide-eyed at Mark.
Mark replied with irritation, "Hurry up and give me your hand. I need something from you. Do you still want to save him or not?"
Miles quickly put aside his doubts, extended his hand, and kept his eyes glued to Mark, wanting to see what Mark intended to do.
