Chapter 183

"Wow, is that Spider-Man?"

"Hasn't he been here before?"

"Why bother? Don't you know what 'evacuate' means?"

As Otto Parker traversed the complex parallel universe space, he landed in a new world and heard a conversation among a few individuals.

"Evacuate? He's been here before? What does that mean?" Otto Parker tapped his head. The time-space travel made him feel uncomfortable, but he quickly adjusted, then began observing his surroundings.

Soon, he discovered some key elements.

In the distance, there was a body engulfed in roaring flames. In the center of the blaze, the figure of the Human Torch from the Fantastic Four could be vaguely seen.

Then, on another side, he found a pile of stones that used to be the Thing, Ben Grimm, a Mister Fantastic, Reed Richards, whose neck and body were stretched out long, and an Invisible Woman, Susan Storm, with two large holes pierced in her abdomen.

"Reed Richards, the Human Torch, and the Thing. I anticipated Richards' arrogance would lead to their downfall. But more importantly, what really managed to kill them? The cause of death?" Otto Parker's gaze scanned the bodies, filled with suspicion and uncertainty.

"No signs of life," the AI assistant said. "I detected an unusual energy, most prominently from behind that pile of rubble."

Otto Parker immediately followed the instructions and saw a body lying on the ground.

It was none other than this world's Spider-Man!

"Interesting.." After a brief daze, Otto Parker coldly uttered a word.

Approaching the body, he flipped it over, examining the "⑤" marked on the Spider suit, his mind racing.

"Now I understand. This isn't my world, but a parallel timeline. The Spider-Man of this world joined the Fantastic Four."

The AI assistant remarked, "I concur. There's an unstable frequency of vibrations during the time travel, Doctor, and there's also a strange energy fluctuation here."

Just as Otto Parker was about to instruct it to initiate the flashback command for another traverse, he paused and inquired, "What's that? What did you discover?"

"It seems there's another trace of a different timeline here, slightly different from the surrounding vibration frequency, but its presence here is fleeting, likely to disappear soon," the AI assistant explained.

Otto Parker contemplated for a moment. "Another trace of a different timeline? Does that mean other people have also come here? Regardless, let's go back. Initiate the flashback command."

"Understood!"

Whoosh!

Otto Parker disappeared from this universe in a flash, then set off once again from there.

Next, he ventured into a world where Spider-Man became a mutant and joined the X-Men.

There, he witnessed the devastated New York City area, with colossal Sentinel robots scattered across the ground—though now dismantled and in pieces.

Gathering information from other surviving mutants, he learned some crucial details.

Rumor had it that a man wearing a metal helmet to hide his face had recently appeared in this world. He had engaged in a fierce battle with the X-Men, killing Spider-Man, Wolverine, and many other members before leaving.

Hearing this news, Otto Parker felt a pang in his heart.

Spider-Man, yet another Spider-Man!

This was already the second one!

Although the two teams facing calamity were different—one was the Fantastic Five, and the other was the X-Men—they seemed somewhat dissimilar.

But as perceptive as Otto Parker was, he quickly realized their common ground: the existence of Spider-Man in both.

Moreover, according to information gathered from the surviving X-Men, that mysterious man had come specifically for Spider-Man!

As for the other X-Men, they were killed while trying to protect Spider-Man from that person!

"Anna, let's move on to the next world." Otto Parker's mood grew heavier.

He vaguely sensed that some form of disaster seemed to be silently unfolding, unbeknownst to him!

Soon after, he arrived in the third world and found that world's Spider-Man.

This world was in the midst of a civil war, and this particular Spider-Man appeared to be reconciling with the Registration Act.

However, regrettably, what Otto Parker encountered was the utterly destroyed Avengers Tower. There lay the Iron Spider suit with two identical puncture wounds.

Behind the body of the Iron Spider was a massive poster bearing the words, "The Registration Act is the Law."

Subsequently, every world he rushed to was alike in this aspect!

"Damn it, record the data of this corpse; we need to thoroughly investigate this!" In a certain world, Otto Parker looked at the body of this world's Spider-Man on the ground, finally grasping the severity of the situation.

"Research indicates that they all have identical pair-shaped wounds, surrounded by the same extraneous energy! This energy's origin doesn't belong to any universe we've visited," the AI assistant, Anna, reported.

Otto Parker's tone grew somber. "That's right, I've noticed it too. I have no interest in the battles happening in other worlds, but apparently, I'm not the only one capable of traversing through time and space. The killer seems fixated on each universe's Spider-Man. Get ready for another traversal. This time, if we encounter another deceased Spider-Man, we'll collect detailed information on the killer's energy signature and their unique weaponry!"

---

Earth-8351 Universe.

In this universe, tragedy continued to follow Peter Parker.

Even though he abandoned his past life, leaving behind Mary Jane, Aunt May, and everything else to fulfill the responsibilities his powers brought, it wasn't until the day Gwen Stacy passed away that he realized a new truth: the greater the ability, the greater the responsibility. But along with it, formidable enemies would arise!

Those enemies devoid of mercy gave him a choice—to watch his loved ones perish at their hands or accept that he must fight and immerse himself in the battle!

With this realization, the merciful Spider-Man ceased to exist. He transformed into the Spider-Assassin, undergoing training from Wolverine.

His methods became decisive and ruthless.

Piles of villainous corpses lay at his hands, shaping his reputation.

However, this mighty champion of justice was now doing everything possible to prevent two more bodies from joining the rest on this world's ground.

Intense combat was underway.

One side featured a man wearing a metal helmet and wielding a double-pronged fork. His name was Karn, an exile from the Inheritors family, and a future Master Weaver!

On the other side were this world's Spider-Assassin, Wolverine, and the Spider-Assassin's girlfriend, Alex.

Despite the odds of three against one, their situation appeared perilous!
