Chapter 189

"Another Spider Legion?!" Superior Spider-Man gaped in amazement at the individuals walking out of the portal.

Mark paid no attention to him and waved at Penny Parker. "Hey, Penny, long time no see!"

"*Gasp!* Mark! Gwen, and even Noir!" Penny Parker, engaged in a conversation with Takuya Yamashiro, turned around at the sound of the voice, pleasantly surprised to see Mark and the others.

Even her mech, the SP//dr display screen showed a symbol representing joy.

Spider-Gwen and Spider-Noir also greeted Penny Parker with smiles. Compared to others, their camaraderie was closer, having fought side by side previously.

"Penny, who are they?" Takuya Yamashiro asked in puzzlement.

Mark glanced at Takuya Yamashiro—the famous Supaidaman, renowned for his exceptional combat abilities among many Spider-Men. Finally, he noticed something about him.

There was an extremely high authority emanating from Takuya Yamashiro!

No wonder he could wield the destructive Leopardon with such ease!

Moreover, his Spider-Totem aura was exceedingly primitive and pure. The intensity of the Spider-Totem's aura was, in a sense, the strength of a Spider-Man.

He truly deserved the reputation of someone who could stand up to Solus!

While Mark observed the renowned Spider-Man, Takuya Yamashiro was also observing him.

His Spider-Sense was incredibly potent, easily detecting things within a fifty-kilometer radius.

Aside from the ionosphere-reflected Tropospheric Radar, regular radars only had a detection range of about 37 kilometers!

His Spider-Sense not only had a broad range but also possessed formidable detection capabilities.

Under this ability, the strength of their enemies couldn't hide.

He instinctively scanned Mark and the others with his Spider-Sense, discovering that the life force emanating from these Spider-Men led by Mark was exceptionally robust.

Any of them could be deemed elite on Superior Spider-Man's side!

Among them, the strongest individuals emitted life force several times, even dozens of times, greater than others!

Especially Mark.

Meanwhile, two individuals were covertly eyeing Mark's group with ill intentions.

Spider-Norman felt uncertain; his Spider-Sense warned him that these new spiders were formidable. He temporarily suppressed his unease.

The other, Spiders-Man, swallowed hard, excitedly murmuring to himself, "Delicious. They are all exquisite delicacies!"

Whoosh!

Just then, a subtle tearing sound broke the silence.

Immediately, the Spider-Swarm, still salivating, found its massive figure ensnared by a colossal flaming hand.

"What are you doing?!"

"Release him, you jerk!"

"Hey, guys, now's not the time for infighting."

Mark's sudden action drew glances from the members of the Ruthless Spider Legion.

Some questioned, some tried to defuse the situation, while Otto Parker, self-proclaimed as the leader, stepped forward to confront him.

Mark scanned the group indifferently, eventually fixing his gaze back on the Spiders Man

Whoosh!

A ball of flame ignited on his mask, disintegrating the mask of the Spider-Swarm, revealing a horrifying sight—a face made of an assembly of numerous spiders!

This terrifying countenance would not only unsettle those with arachnophobia but even those without it!

"Tsk, tsk, you're missing out on being in a horror film with that look." Mark applied a slight pressure.

Boom!

The flame surged again.

*Hiss, hiss, hiss—*

Countless spiders emitted piercing screams, all stemming from the Spiders-Man.

Otto Parker clenched his fist, moving slowly towards Mark. "He might look disgusting, but he's on my side! So, release him!"

Step!

The Spider-Circus stepped forward, blocking Mark. "Wanna get to my boss? You gotta get through me first..."

Behind them, the Spider Punisher acted decisively, lifting his wrist, and several different firearms extended out.

The Spider-Men behind Otto Parker grew tense.

Tension filled the air.

Mark, seemingly unaffected, spoke slowly, "Peter Parker was once a promising young student, invited by Max Modell, along with his best friend, Gwen Stacy, to Horizon Labs for a visit."

"In one experiment, a vast number of spiders were bombarded with a substantial amount of radiation. Peter Parker accidentally fell into the swarm and was devoured alive!"

"Those spiders, however, formed a unique hive mind. They disguised themselves as the person they devoured, donned their attire, and dubbed themselves Spider-Man. Oh, wait, you should be called Spiders-Man, right?. As for whether you qualify as a 'hero,' well, that's up for debate!"

"What do you want! You damn scumbag!" A sharp, pained voice rang out.

For anthropods, fire was undoubtedly their greatest adversary.

"What do I want? Haha, it's what you want!" Mark sneered coldly.

His eyes suddenly ignited with flames, a powerful blaze akin to laser beams, engulfing every member of the Ruthless Spider Legion.

Even Penny and her Spider Mech weren't spared!

"What are you doing?!"

"Madman!"

"Are you starting a war with us?"

Members of the Ruthless Spider Legion erupted in anger and accusation.

Yet, they soon realized that the flames didn't harm them; instead, they quickly detached and fell to the ground.

Spider-May, walking over to Penny—intent on rescuing her—bent down and picked up the burning object from the ground.

It was a spider!

"What's going on here?" Otto Parker picked up a charred spider from the ground, looking visibly disturbed.

This spider had fallen from his body.

Mark sneered, "Ask our dear 'Spiders Man' buddy here! What's the idea behind placing spiders on every Spider-Man?"

"What?!"

"No words? Allow me then. I guess you intend to wait for everything to conclude, quietly infiltrate each marked world, then consume them, bolstering your own strength, right?" Mark stated.

"Ah! You bastard!" The Spiders Man roared in anger.

In the next moment, his body exploded into countless spiders, scattering in all directions.

Silent until then, he had been silently amassing power, preparing to break free from Mark's restraint.

"Capture them!" Otto Parker shouted, abandoning the standoff with the Circus Spider and others, turning to deal with the spiders spawned by the Spiders Man.

Others weren't naive either.

They now understood the malicious intent of this particular Spider-Man.

Even the cunning Spider Norman joined the fray, currently filled with trepidation. He had previously contacted the Spiders-Man in secret, planning to seize some benefits in this battle, only to find out it or they had placed spider on him too!

"I considered you a friend, and you dare to covet my body!"

Facing the incensed Spider-Men, the Spiders Man couldn't do anything anymore.

Even their attempt to self-destruct into countless spiders was instantly nullified by Mark's snap of fingers.

Numerous miniature portals enveloped the Spiders Man, ensuring that no matter where the spiders tried to escape, they were brought back to the same spot.

The entire space was completely sealed!

Subsequently, Mark unleashed a blaze that incinerated these spiders, eradicating them entirely.

After dealing with the Spiders Man, Mark dealt with Spider Norman using decisive measures.

This guy was also a ticking time bomb.

In the original storyline, he appeared in "Spider-Verse," destroying the Web of Life and Destiny, severing connections between the multiverses, trapping the resurrected inheritors and Spider-Men in Universe 616, forcing them into a final battle, all under the guise of "sacrificing a few for the safety of the multiverse."

In reality, he was simply afraid of dying.

Against such a character, Mark showed no mercy.

He directly stripped Spider Norman of his spider totem, erased his recent memories, turned him into an ordinary person, and sent him back to his universe.

After consecutively dealing with two problematic members, while some members of the Ruthless Spider Legion felt remorse, they also felt relieved.

Without Mark's intervention, they might have all been fooled by these two guys!

Seizing this opportunity, Mark seamlessly incorporated all members of the Ruthless Spider Legion under his command.

Following another round of genetic surgery, his Web of Fate gained several new "residents," significantly boosting his power.

Now, he was no longer the Mark from before, reliant merely on a dozen genetic surgeries. He could afford to spend his energy freely.

Though Otto Parker felt a sense of injustice, he was helpless.

He even had to thank Mark!

Because his fate had shifted from the original Web of Life and Destiny to Mark's brand-new one, freeing him entirely from his previous destiny, becoming a unique existence! A true Otto Parker!

A new branch extending from Universe 616!

As for the future, whether he'd end up like before, abandoning his superhero identity and reverting to Dr. Octopus or persist as the true "Superior Spider-Man," that would be his own choice.

This was the essence of Mark's new Web of Fate.

No predetermined, planned future—everything was a matter of free will!

At this moment, even though his abilities stemmed from the Weaver, he had long diverged onto a vastly different path from the Weaver!

Having assimilated the Ruthless Spider Legion, even transforming Otto Parker into his avid follower, Mark now set his sights on another group.

The Benevolent Spider Legion, led by the Main Universe's Spider-Man!
