Chapter 8

"What the–" Before I can finish my sentence, Fabian rushes down the corridor and out of my sight. I stare at the empty trail he left, shocked. "He must have been spying on us! What a creep! I need to tell Elliot about this... He'll be livid!" I slam the door and ran up to Elliot. I find him standing by the bed. I am distracted for a second and but I regain my senses and focus. "You look bothered. Is everything okay?" Elliot points out. "No, I just found Fabian outside our door!" I explained. "And?" 'He was spying on us! What should we do?" I ask Elliot. Elliot picks up his phone and starts dialing a number. "He must be calling the police, good thinking." I thought to myself. "This is Elliot Anderson. I need towels in our room as soon as possible. What kind of hotel is this if you don't provide your guests with fresh towels every day? I'm on my honeymoon, and I paid a lot of money for this room, so you'd better get a move on!" Elliot hangs up the phone, puts it in his back pocket, and signs heavily. "Aren't you worried about this? Fabian was spying on us!" I yelled trying to get Elliot's attention. "Are you really sure about that?" "Yes! When I caught him, he look terrified and ran off!" What if he was listening to us? Ugh, what a creep!" "Hmm.. okay. You have a point, that's kind of suspicious" He agrees. "Something isn't right with that guy, I know it. We need to do something." I tell him. "I'll Contact Paul and discuss this with him. I"m sure he'll know what to do. I'll be right back." Elliot goes into another room while holding his phone to his ear. I take a deep breath and pull out my own phone. "I need to talk to someone about this," I tell myself.  "Thea, I'm going crazy over here." "Honey, that happened a long time ago" "ha ha, very funny." "What's up? Is Elliot treating you well?" Thea asks. "Omg, you seriously have no filter! And if you really have to know..." "Yeeees?"  "Forget it. I'm not telling you." I cut her off. "Boo!" "I need to tell you something else, though. You'll never guess who we ran into here." I  text her. "Hugh Jackman?" She guessed. "No. Mina is here with her new boyfriend, and I caught him spying on us through the  door!" I explained. "What?! That's so messed up! Did you confront him about it?" she questioned. "No, I haven't had the chance. He ran away as soon as he saw me." I responded. "Evie, I have a bad feeling about this. This doesn't sound like normal behavior."  "Don't worry, Thea, he's probably just a creep. Elliot is taking care of it right now. He's on the phone with his lawyer." "Good. I really hope that weirdo won't bother you guys again." "I really hope so too. Wait, I have to go. Elliot's back." Elliot comes out of the other room, seemingly done with his call. "I've talked to paul, and everything will work out. Let's not think about that guy anymore tonight, okay?" He asks me. "Okay, I'll try." "Let's go to bed." We both get dressed and crawl under the cover together. Elliot automatically wraps an arm around me, and i fall into a deep sleep. The next day... I'm in the bedroom putting on mascara when I heard the door open. Through the mirror, I can see Elliot standing by the door. He is dressed, his hair perfectly combed, and handsome as sin as usual. His gaze drops to my body when I lean closer to the mirror to put on mascara on my lower lashes. Judging by the looks in his eyes, I'd say he likes what he sees. "Do you want something?" I ask. Elliot clears his throat and looks up to meet my eyes in the mirror. "Actually, yeah. I thought we could do something fun today." He answers. "Elliot wants to do something fun?" I thought to myself. "Let's just say in bed all day. We can explore the island tomorrow... But today, we should just relax in bed with each other." We both walk into the main room, and I start to look around for my t-shirt. "So, last night was crazy, huh?" Elliot brings up the topic of last night. "Yeah. I'm still a bit worried about Fabian." I responded. "Don't be. He's with mina, and both of them are a bit crazy. Maybe he's a voyeur, and spying on other people." Elliot comforts me. "Maybe he's right," I said to myself. I decide to ignore it for now. I finally find my t-shirt. Just  before I put it on, Elliot takes it and tosses it away. "What did you do that for?" I ask. He inches closer to me, so close I can feel his warm breath on my face. "I want to enjoy the view for a while longer. You look incredible."  Elliot leans forward, trying to kiss me for the millionth time. "What are you doing?" I questioned him. "Making you relax. You definitely need it after last night." Elliot captures my lips with him in a passionate kiss. After a minute or two, I pull away. "Maybe another time?" "Okay, as you wish. You alright?" He asks me. "Yeah, I'm alright. Don't worry. I'm going to shower." I spend 20 minutes in the shower, just enjoying the water. When I am done, I step out of the shower and put on some clothes. I go into our suite to find Elliot. He glances up when he hears me come in. "You look nice." Elliot grabs me and pulls me closer. His lips find mine, and I melt into his arms. "You smell nice too" He leans in to give me another kiss, but stops when someone knocks on the door. "That better not be Fabian, or I'm knocking him into next week for interrupting us." Elliot goes to open the door to reveal a guy with a large tray of food. "Did you order breakfast delivery?" Elliot asks me. "No, I didn't order anything." "I didn't order anything either, but he insists it's for us" Elliot thanks the guy and takes the food. He places it on the bed and turns to me. "Well, I AM pretty hungry. Kissing you really woke up my appetite." He grabs a strawberry from the plate and is about to put it in his mouth when– "Don't eat that!" "What? Why not?" He questions. "What if it's poisoned?" I tell him. "Don't be ridiculous." He opens up his mouth and is about to take a bite, but I slap it out of his hand. It falls to the carpet and makes a red stain, and Elliot looks taken aback. "I'm serious. Neither of us ordered this - don't you think it's a little strange?" I explain. "I suppose. But you don't have to worry, I checked it with my poison detector." "You did? Oh...that's good." Elliot burst out laughing, and I can see tears forming in the corner of his eyes. "What's so funny," I ask. "You're so cute. Of course I don't have a poison detector." "Ugh, you're so annoying." I complained. "Evie, no sane hotel would send a famous producer a breakfast containing poisoned food. If I survived it, I would run their business into the ground. They would never risk that." He grabs a new strawberry from the tray and then pops it into his mouth. "Mhm, this is great. Have some" he offers me. 'Alright...it actually does look delicious." I grab a sandwich with cheese and ham and take a small bite. "See, I'm not dead and neither ate you. This food must be the hotel showing their appreciation. They're probably honored that we're staying here." He reminds me. "Wow, that's never happened to me." Elliots laughs and continues to stuff his face with fruit. "I guess they don;t care about  normal people like me." I wept. "I do, I care about you." I blush, and Elliot smiles at me. "Be right back." Elliot walks towards the window, opens it, and throws something out. When I look at him curiously, he shrugs. "It was just a fruit pit." He responded to my curious looks. "But strawberries don't have–" Someone knocks on the door, and we both freeze. "We already had room service, so who could that be? What if it's Fabian?" I began to ask many questions. "Only one way to find out." Elliot walks toward the door and opens it... "It's paul and Thea!" I say to myself. 'Surprise!" Thea surprised us.
