"Mina, what are you doing here? We're on our honeymoon, for God's sake! Leave me and my wife alone!" Elliot yelled at Mina. "Elliot's patience with this annoying woman is obviously running thin. Can't say I blame him." I say to myself. Mina huffs after his outburst, putting her hands on her hips. "Oh don't flatter yourself, Elliot. I'm not here for you" She corrected. "And I'm supposed to believe that after everything you've done to me?" He asked. "Actually, yes. I'm here with my new Brazilian boyfriend, and I had no idea you two would be here too." She answered. "Brazilian boyfriend?" I questioned Mina. "Not sure I believe that," Elliot grumbled. "You better believe it. He invited me to an exclusive resort nearby. What a coincidence we all ran into each other!" She chirped. Elliot scowls at her."I don't believe her either. She's gone out of her way to claiming Elliot as hers...and suddenly she has a new boyfriend? It sounds very fishy to me." I thought to myself. 'I know we've had a rough patch in the past...But I was hoping we could put everything behind us and start afresh. Besides, you're with Evie now, and I have found my soulmate" She clasps her hands together. "So! How long are you guys staying here?" She asks. Elliot hesitated before answering. "Two weeks." He replied. 'Oh, that's fabulous! We're staying for two weeks too!" She cheered. "Of course you are..." I said to myself. "And where is your boyfriend?" I asked Mina. On cue, a tall, handsome guy appears at Mina's side. He wraps an arm around her waist and kisses her cheek. He whispers something in a foreign language to her, and she giggles like a little schoolgirl. "Is he serious?" I think to myself. He then turns to us and reaches out his hand in greeting. Elliot takes it, hesitantly. "Nice to meet you. I'm Fabian Afonso. Are you guys friends with Mina?" Fabian said. 'Absolutely not! I wouldn't be her friend even if she was the last person on earth." I quickly respond. Fabian looks confused at first, but then he starts laughing. "Ha, good one! You almost caught me there! You should be an actor-you have the best poker face I've ever seen." He tells me. "He thinks I was joking," I say to myself. "So, what brings you to this beautiful place," Fabian asks me. "We're on our honeymoon" Elliot answers. "Oh, that's wonderful! Congratulations to you both!" He congratulates Me and Elliot. "Thanks. And you two are here because...?" Elliot asks Fabian. "I'm here for business. I work in marketing, and we've got a huge project coming up. I thought I'd invite my beautiful girlfriend to accompany me." Fabian answers Elliot. He turns to her and smiles. "She seems to enjoy it so far, don't you, babe?" He asks Mina. 'Oh, I love it. I'm really glad you invited me to this special place. It's so romantic." Mina squeezes his arm, batting her eyelashes at him. Then she faces us again. "Well, it was nice seeing you guys, but my new boyfriend and I have some private business to take care of." Mina grinned. Fabian takes Mina's hand, and they leave together. Elliot turns to me with wide eyes. "Okay, what was that," Elliot said shockingly. 'That's a good question. Do you believe them? Do you think they're a real couple?" I asked Elliot. Elliot laughs and shakes his head. "No. She's up to something, I'm sure of it. We need to be careful." He then moves closer and cups my cheek, and his eyes are instantly warmer. "I don't want to think about her right now." "Me neither. Let's forget about them." I tell Elliot. "Already have." Elliot and I spent the whole day at the beach. We had such a great time together - we only left once the sun went down. Once we were on our way back to the hotel, Elliot suggested that we go to the hotel spa to get a massage. I said yes, because why would I turn down an offer like that? As soon as I change into my bra and underwear, I head into a room with two massage tables and wait for Elliot and the masseur to arrive. I don't have to wait long for him. Elliot enters looking handsome as sin. I couldn't help myself but look at him. He obviously looks gorgeous, especially with his tousled beach hair. I imagine myself running my hands through his hair. The imagination was over when the masseur entered. She instructs us to lie down on the tables. In the next fifteen minutes, we both enjoy a wonderful couple's massage. The masseur clearly knows what he's doing, kneading our muscles until all the knots magically disappear. Soon, I feel my whole body relaxing and sinking into the soft material. The feeling doesn't last long. I hear a rustling sound and look up to see Mina and Fabian standing at the door. They are holding hands and look very much in love. "I can't wait to get a massage. This was such a good idea, Fabian!" Mina bragged. Her gaze finds mine, and she stops in her tracks. " Oh, I'm so sorry! We didn't know that this room was occupied." Mina apologized. I decide to ignore her."I'm not going to let her ruin this for me. She's not worth my energy." I say to myself. One hour later... "I really needed that massage. I feel a lot less tense now." Elliot says. "Me too. We should do that more often." I replied. "I have massage oil back at my house. Maybe next time, we can do it on each other." Elliot tells me. I blushed at the thought of doing a massage on Elliot. "You okay?" he asks me. I coughed, trying to get that thought that just appeared out of my head. "Yeah, of course. That sounds nice." I responded. 'Let's go to dinner tonight. we need to appear a happy couple, remember? Es[ecially since Mina is here... I bet she's keeping a close eye on us." Elliot reminded me. "You're right. I can get ready in fifteen, does that work?" "Perfect. I'll wait for you downstairs" Elliot leaves me to get ready, and I start doing my hair and makeup. "I want to look pretty tonight," I tell myself. "I'm ready!" I say out loud. As soon as he sees me, Elliot smiles. "You look amazing tonight." Elliot compliments me. "Thank you. You don't look so bad yourself." "Well, I did take a shower." I pout. "It's not fair. You look so good with five minutes of effort, and I have to do my hair and makeup to look like this." I complained. "You don't need any of that. You're a natural beauty" I blush, and Elliot removes a strand of hair from my face. "I'm serious. Do you know when I thought you were most beautiful?" Elliot Braggs. "No, tell me." "The day I saw you in my kitchen doing breakfast. You were wearing a pair of pajama shorts and a tank top. And your hair was in a bun, and you had no trace of makeup on your face. You looked so good. "Wow. That's so–" "Oh my God, I can't believe you're here too!" Mina interrupts me. "Oh, for the love of– Can't this woman leave us alone?" I thought to myself. "It's so crazy that we keep bumping into each other! Right, Fabian?" Mina exclaimed. "Yeah, talk about crazy. Maybe it's a sign that we should have dinner together tonight." Fabian replies. "Actually–" Before we have any chance to object, they pull out the chairs across from us and sit down. "So, have you guys ordered yet? I'm thinking of having those Brussels sprouts." Fabian begins talking. "Ooh, good idea. I think I'll have that too." Mina answered. "I'm really not hungry anymore" I addressed them. "Yeah, I kind of lost my appetite too." Elliot agreed. "Oh, you're not coming down with something, are you? Let's hope not It would just be terrible to get sick on your honeymoon." Mina wondered."Nope, I'm not sick. Lovesick, maybe." Elliot presses a kiss behind my ear, and a shiver runs through my body. Mina is watching us intensely. "Babe, kiss me." She demanded. She lounges herself on Fabian, wraps her small hands around his neck, and kisses him. They separate soon enough, not looking embarrassed at all. "I just can't help myself around you, Fabian" She boasted. "I know what you mean," I tell her. "Oh?" "She obviously trying to challenge me," I said to myself. "It's so hard to resist him. Every time I look at him, I want to jump his bones. " I bragged. "Is that so, huh?" Elliot responds to my comment. "How could I not? You're the most gorgeous man I've ever seen!" Elliot smiles as Mina crosses her arms and rolls her eyes. "It looks like she doesn't like the taste of her own medicine." I said to myself. "Everything okay, babe?" Elliot asks me. "Of course, everything is fine." "More than fine," I say to myself. I round my shoulders, and his eyes drop to my eyes. He wears a mischievous grin on his face. His hand reaches my hand and I shiver at his touch. "So...you haven't told me how you two met" Fabian trying to change the subject. Elliot grips my hand more, and My heart begins to beat louder and louder with each second. "She was my assistant at first. I was attracted to her the moment I saw her. I wasn't going to do anything about it, but after talking to her and getting to know her... I just had to make her mine." Elliot turns to me, meeting my gaze. "You're mine, aren't you?" Elliot teased me. My heart starts beating faster. "Yes, I'm yours." I answered. Elliot sucks in a breath. Elliot mumbled something, knowing no one could hear him. He lets go of my hand and stands up abruptly. "This was a lovely dinner, thanks for the company." Elliot interrupts. "You're leaving? We haven't ordered yet." Fabian asked. "We're not that hungry. I think we'll just order room service." He replies. He pulls me against his chest and leans to whisper into my ear "Let's go." As soon as we enter our hotel room, he lounges for me. He pushes me up against the wall and presses his lips against mine. I push him away. "I don't think we should do this not right now." Elliot steps back, looking flustered. "You're right, maybe we should wait." He responds. "It doesn't mean that I don't want to, though." I let him know. "That's good to know. I'm gonna take a shower if that's alright. I need to cool off." HE kisses my cheek and then starts to walk toward the bathroom. A minute later, he sticks his head out the door, already in boxers. "Uh, Evie? There aren't any towels in here. Do you think you could go down to the reception and ask them if they can bring any?" He asks me. "Of course. I'll be right back." I replied. I turn to leave, but when I open the door, I walk into a hard chest. I Looked up to see Fabian, standing right outside our door. "Uh, hi" He looks nervous... too nervous. Like he has just been caught doing something he shouldn't have been doing. "Is he spying on Elliot and me?!"I say to myself.
