Chapter 14 Gift From Village Chief

Coming to the village chief's house and finding no players inside, Harry breathed a sigh of relief and quickly approached the village chief.

"Village chief, is there anything else I can help you with?" Harry asked.

"You are the warrior from before? You came at the right time. I have something to give you as a token of gratitude for finding my grandson, " The village chief looked up at Harry, coughing with excitement and hoarsely speaking.

Ding!

[System Prompt: Obtained item: [Blue] Starfire Ring]

...

It turned out to be a piece of blue-quality equipment. Harry was overjoyed but didn't check the ring's attributes because the place would soon be crowded with people. The most important thing now was to accept the quest.

"Thank you, village chief. Is there anything else I can do for you?" Harry asked again.

"Brave warrior, there has been an excessive number of wild rabbits outside the village recently. Could you please help me collect ten pieces of rabbit fur and deliver them to Mr. Holmes in the village?" the old man said.

Ding!

[System Prompt: Triggered quest, do you accept?]

[Quest Name: Deliver the Rabbit Fur]

[Completion Condition: 0/10]

[Quest Reward: 50 EXP (Doubled)]

[Quest Reward: 10 copper coins]

[Quest Description: The wild rabbits are near the village. Remember to deliver the rabbit fur to Mr. Holmes.]

...

"Accept!" Harry didn't waste any time. After accepting the mission, he quickly left the village chief's house.

As expected, Harry had just left the village chief's house when he saw a large crowd of people rushing towards it from a distance. Everyone squeezed and pushed, not giving way to each other, all heading towards the village chief's house.

Seeing this scene, Harry took a deep breath. Fortunately, he had arrived early, or he would have been caught up in the crowd.

Harry quickly left the place. He left the area and didn't go outside the village to kill the wild rabbits. Instead, he headed to the weapon shop because he had one thing important to do.

Arriving at the weapon shop once again, Harry entered and sold the rough staff in his hand, receiving 25 copper coins. Together with the 10 he obtained from the previous quest, he now had a total of 36 copper coins.

Harry walked out of the weapon shop and headed straight to the potion shop. He wanted to verify his previous guess about whether all shops would give a gift for the first purchase. After all, he had received a gift from the weapon shop owner when he made his first weapon purchase.

Soon, he arrived at the potion shop and walked in directly.

The NPC shop owner was a bit fat. Seeing Harry enter, he quickly greeted him.

"Warrior, are you here to buy potions?" The shop owner said with a smile.

"Yes." Harry nodded and a list appeared in his mind.

[Basic] Small Health Potion

[Description: Restores 100 health over time]

[Usage Condition: None]

[Purchase Price: 20 copper coins]

...

[Basic] Small Mana Potion

[Description: Restores 100 Mana over time]

[Usage condition: None]

[Purchase Price: 20 copper coins]

...

There were only two potions for sale. Harry bought a small blue potion and looked up at the shop owner expectantly.

"Warrior, do you still need to buy more potions?" The shop owner saw that Harry did not leave and asked gently.

"This is my first time buying a potion. Is there any gift?" Harry was puzzled.

"Warrior, you're thinking too much. This shop has slim profit margins, how can we give away anything?" the shop owner said with a smile.

Hearing this, Harry's face darkened.

...

When he walked out of the potion shop, Harry felt extremely regretful. He felt like he had been tricked.

It seemed that only the weapon shop owner gave gifts, and he didn't dare to try other shops like the jewelry shop or clothing shop because he only had 16 copper coins in his backpack. He couldn't buy anything.

Harry equipped the white-quality staff, instantly transforming his entire demeanor and making him stand out. Then he looked at the ring gifted by the village chief.

[Blue] Starfire Ring

[Level Requirement: Level 5]

[Magic Attack: +20]

[Magic Defense: +5]

[Equipment Effect: Recovers 1 MP per second]

...

After reading the ring's attributes, Harry couldn't help but feel ecstatic. It increased his magic attack by 20 points, and the equipment effect was remarkable, recovering 1 point of Mana per second. It was indeed a powerful blue-quality equipment.

Harry quickly equipped himself and checked his attributes.

[Name: Savion]

[Class: Mage]

[Secondary Class: None]

[Level: 7]

[EXP: 400/1000]

[HP: 160]

[MP: 220]

[Physical Attack: 6]

[Magic Attack: 42]

[Physical Defense: 6]

[Magic Defense: 16]

[Stamina: 1]

[Remaining Attribute Points: 30]

[Attribute:]

[Strength: 6 (Affects physical attack)]

[Intelligence: 12 (Affects spell attack)]

[Agility: 6 (Affects movement speed, attack speed)]

[Stamina: 6 (Affects HP, Physical Defense)]

[Spirit: 12 (Affects MP, Magic Defense)]

...

With 220 Mana points, Harry calculated that after each battle, he only needed to wait for 3 minutes for his Mana to fully recover. This would save him a lot of money on potions.

Looking at the ring on his finger, which was still emitting a light blue light, Harry was delighted.

Harry was full of confidence. He believed that with a single Fireball skill, he could instantly kill a Venom Snake. After all, Venom Snakes had a high attack but weak defense.

He also had 30 attribute points remaining. If he allocated them all to intelligence, his magic attack would increase significantly.

At this moment, Harry felt a bright future ahead. Perhaps he could really make a fortune in the game.

Putting his thoughts aside, Harry quickly headed out of the village. The most important thing now was to level up. There shouldn't be many players outside the village now, so it was a good time to kill monsters and do quests. If all the players received the quest and all came to kill the wild rabbits later, it would be troublesome.

Harry arrived outside the village. As expected, there were obviously fewer players. Everyone was busy looking for the village chief.

Looking at the rabbit monster that appeared in front of him, Harry used an insight skill.

[Name: [Normal] Red-eyed Giant Rabbit]

[Level: 1]

[HP: 50/50]

[Attack: 5]

[Defense: 2]

[Skill: None]

...

Harry didn't plan to use skills, but considering that he had mana regeneration equipment and could also increase his skill proficiency, he swung his staff directly and cast a Fireball at the Red-eyed Giant Rabbit.

Without a doubt, the Red-eyed Giant Rabbit was instantly killed. This scene caught the attention of some players, but they didn't find it surprising. After all, the game had been out for a long time, and many people could easily kill level 1 monsters. However, the ring emitting a faint light on Harry's hand did draw their attention.

Ding!

[System Prompt: You have killed the Red-eyed Giant Rabbit. Obtained 5 EXP.]"

...

Looking at the dead red-eyed rabbit, Harry ignored the others and walked directly to the corpse.
