The 4th Great Ninja War... Starts now
The leaf village was gathered in their commonspace, children, families, shinobi from all clans were partying and having a good time. Tsunade had come up to Natsuko asking her about a speech to inspire everyone in the village, which led to now. Natsuko took a deep breath before standing ontop of a log in front of everyone. Clearing her throat, she tapped her glass to get everyone's attention before starting. Her hair down around her waist, as she wore a light blue summer dress paired with her Hokage cloak, her feet bare of any shoes for the moment. As she looked out at the crowd.
"I stand before you, the first female, jinchuriki and youngest hokage in our history. I am young, inexperienced and still have much to learn when it comes to leading our village to victory in this war. You supported me when we fended off an attack from Orochimaru, and the attack by the Akatsuki. Our enemy is after my brother, the hero of our village, Naruto Uzumaki! I ask for you, all, whether your assigned to the front lines, or your keeping our home safe from bandits while we're away, please, lend me your strength. Please lend me your wisdom. The Akatsuki seek to not only take the tailed beasts, but they seek to end our world as a whole. Regardless if you agree with the shinobi alliance or not, this is not an enemy the leaf can face alone. We must lean on our allies and I ask you trust in me, just as you have while I've led us as Hokage. I ask for every clan, every person in the leaf…" She said before bowing her head bowing deeply onto the ground
"I beg of you! Please! Help me protect the only family I have! Help me protect the hero of our village. Naruto Uzumaki." Natsuko said, cheers of agreeance rang out in the crowd
"Hell yeah! Let's do it lady hokage! With you leading the charge we're sure to have victory!" Shinobi said from all over, since defeating pain, and thwarting different smaller attacks on the village, Natsuko earned the title of Red Flash as well as The Violet Tactiction, nobody knew exactly why, or how, but 99 percent of Natsuko's plans and ideas worked perfectly without fail and the ones that didn't didn't cost anyones lives.
"Konohamaru, Moegi, Udon, Daiki, Haru, Akemi, Hanabi, Noa, Lina. You are not going to the front lines. However, you 9 are being left with just as big a responsibility. To protect the village while we are away. Protect our home and families." Natsuko said the village partied as one last hurrah
The next day Natsuko stood at the front gates, Tsunade on her left and Kakashi on the right just behind her as she wore her black cropped top paired with light blue pants, a matching jogging jacket zipped underneath her forest green chunin vest, her hokage cloak pulled over the sleeves with her hair in two french braids a pale blue ribbon sewn into the strands. Her shurikan holster on both legs, her kunai on her waist, towards her back. Tsunade wore her ashy blonde hair in pigtails near the base of her neck, her dark green overcoat paired with her gray tanktop tunic which held a dark gray belt paired with dark gray capris. Her heeled sandals on her feet.
Kakashi wore his dark blue leaf headband on his forehead holding his white hair out of his face. His left eye covered by both his mask and headband. His mask a matching blue to his mask, as was his ninja outfit which consisted of a dark blue jonin jacket and matching pants, his forest green chunin vest overtop. Bandages on his shins to his ankles, with his dark blue ninja sandals on his feet. His shurikan holster on his right thigh.
"You've grown, from the brat I met so long ago" Tsunade said and Natsuko looked over raising an eyebrow
"You mean like height? I guess so??" She said Tsunade forced her head down lightly
"I meant your speech last night inspired a lot of people. Despite what you say your a good Hokage. Better than I thought
you'd be. I mean, they call you The Violet Tactiction for crying out loud." She said and Natsuko hummed
"I have good teachers. Just to clarify I am not talking about the elders." She said elbowing Kakashi lightly who looked over
"So I have an idea on how to at least delay the Tsukeyomi or lessen how many are affected, in the event it gets cast." Natsuko said at the last five kage meeting before the war
"What is it?" Gaara asked and Natsuko hummed
"The Uchiha clan hold a unique ability in their mongekyo sharingan to Manifest chakra as giant…. Well, the closest thing I can think of, is Shinigami. These susano not only can be used for attacks, but they block out light, and can be used defensively as well. The infinite Tsukeyomi effects what the moonlight does in theory, and if the light doesn't affect the susano…" She said
"Got to give it to you Lady Natsuko, you never cease to amaze. But two questions. How sure are you that using the susanos would be a plan B and why didn't you bring it up sooner." Mei asked and Natsuko hummed
"95%. When first going over the idea with the Uchiha clan, there was a less than 5% chance of it working. I didn't want to bring up something that i wasn't 100% or close to 100% sure of it working." She said
"Where's the remaining 5%" Gaara asked and Natsuko hummed
"There is still a chance this can fail. When conducting expirementations and training, the uchiha blocked light from the moon and sun alike as well as Genjutsu, however they weren't able for obvious reasons, to test this on an infinite tsukeyomi." Natsuko said, moving her hands around for a moment.
"Well, let's make sure we don't need to put them to the test." Ay said, Natsuko nodded,
"There they are! Natsuko's leading the fourth company in Tandem with Gaara" Kiba said and Temari hummed,
"So are they dating yet?" Sakura said from nearby, Temari laughed
"Those two? Are as oblivious as ever." She said tightening her allied forces headband around her forehead.
"Also, remember, He isn't just in charge of the fourth company he's also the regimental commander, which is why Natsuko is also in charge of the fourth company." Temari said,
"The Violet Tactiction is leading the fourth company, this war is as good as won." A leaf shinobi said a few paces away from Temari, Kiba, Shikamaru, and Sakura
"The Violet Tacticion?" Temari asked quietly, Sakura gesturing towards Natsuko
"They've been calling her that since the fight with Pain. Her strategy in preparing for the attack helped minimize the civilian and ninja lives lost. And with Narutos help, everyone who did die was revived with a jutsu." Shikamaru said quietly from behind her, as Gaara stepped forward breaking up fights. Natsuko stood just behind him on the right her hokage cloak moving lightly in the wind as her hair followed, with Kakashi a couple of steps away in front of his own company with the kage and Tsunade spread out on the platform as well.
"From the First Great Ninja War to the Last, Shinobi have wounded and come to hate each otherfor the benefit of their own Nation and Village. That hatred led to a desire for power, and that desire created someone like me. I too, was once full of hatred and power!!! I was a jinchuriki!!! I hated this world and all of the people in it!!! I constantly thought of nothing but destroying it. I was no different than the Akatsuki is now!! However a certain Shinobi from the Leaf Stopped me! He shed tears for me!!! His Enemy!!! Even though I'd hurt him…He still called me his friend!!!He saved me!!!My enemy!!! My fellow Jinchuriki!!! He suffered the SAME PAIN as me, and yet BORE NO ILL WILL!!! The moment WE UNDERSTAND each other's PAIN, our MALICE WILL DISAPPEAR! There are no enemies here! We are ALL ONE and it is because we have ALL BEEN AFFECTED by Akatsuki!!! The Sand Village, Stone Village, Leaf Village, Mist Village, Cloud Village… THEY NO LONGER EXIST!!! We are all only Shinobi!!! If you still cannot forgive the Sand Village the I will give you my head when this is over! Our enemy is after the one who'd saved me!! If they capture him then it will be the end of the world!!! I want to protect him!!! I want to protect this world!!! However I am too young and Naive to do so…That is why… I need all of you to give me your strength!! To protect our friends and this world, we will fight as one...Until our dying breaths…" Gaara said shouts of agreeance rang through the crowd as Shikamaru leaned over
"Who would've thought the two genius's are actually decent at speeches. Natsuko gave a speech last night before we left." Shikamaru said Temari hummed, looking at the girl who was looking over the crowd, her violet eyes scanning over the shinobi before the kage, Tsunade, and Kakashi
"Good job sandman. Looks like the animosity completely disappeared" Natsuko said, patting Gaara's shoulder as they walked out of the office, ready to head to the battlefield. Gaara rolling his eyes, jumping on his sand.
"Lets go." He said, looking back at her, Natsuko nodded,
"How many white zetsu things are there?" A rookie ninja said as he sliced through one, Natsuko glanced around
"A Lot. Let me see if i can dwindle their numbers." She said, with a smirk,
"What do you mean lady hokage…" the cloud ninja asked, before Natsuko threw her kunai out, running after as many of the white zetsu as she could
"Shes known as the red flash" Temari said as Natsuko became a red blur around the battlefield taking out as many white zetsu as she could, the fourth company found themselves surrounded by white zetsu, as Natsuko destroyed them, trees sprouted from the bodies, before jumping into the air using windstyle to stay afloat
"You can fly too?" Ohnoki says and Natsuko hummed as she sat in the air
"Sort of. Its not perfected yet. And requires a lot of focus, but I wanted to know if you guys sensed it too?" She said, Gaara glanced over
"Sensed what?" He asked and Natsuko hummed
"I don't know.. I think it's safe to say we'll be seeing the reanimation jutsu soon, you know" Natsuko said as they continued forward, Natsuko lost focus on the jutsu she was using for a moment causing her to fall, catching her before she hit the ground, landing next to Temari.
That night Natsuko sat against a boulder, singing softly as she read over her notes of the prophecy. The 4th company had decided to take a rest for the night, most of the ninja too tired to continue their journey. Natsuko looked up at the sky, counting the stars, remembering doing the same with Naruto as children.
"You're my twin, I'm your twin, we stick together through thick and thin, no matter what I do, I'm always stuck with you. And if trouble comes my way, I know my twin will save the day. Wherever, you may be, you're always stuck with me… When your feeling sad and blue. Just call my name, and I'll find you. We have our bond.. That's tried and true. You and me, me and you, two by two." She sang softly looking at the stars,
"You and Naruto make that one up?" Gaara asked as he sat next to her, Natsuko looked over, nodding,
"It's to remind the both of us, we're not alone. Or at least even if when we were alone. We were alone together." She said looking at the stars. Gaara doing the same
"Well… would you look at that. The two genius's might actually realize their feelings." Temari said looking over that the two, Natsuko's head laying on Gaara's shoulder as they looked at the stars, talking quietly.
"Awww lord Gaara" Mitsuri said gushing over the two, walking over to Temari, who put her arm out,
"Leave them alone." She said,
