I yawn. A heavy weight settles over my chest, her own rumbling waking me even more. I really, really, want to just lay here and do nothing but- I can't.
I grumble for a moment and try to check the time. I look to the side and squint to see if the sun is up.
Idiot.
Ugh… I forgot ok. I forgot that we're in a bunker. Fuck… Is there at least a clock? I turn to my side and yep. There it is.
And by my count it's about time to get up.
So I ruffle Angela.
"Hey…" I whisper. "Hey… time to get up…"
"Don't wanna…"
Hah-
Ok. If you don't want to get up I can't make you. Contrary to popular belief, you shouldn't just yell at someone, or throw water on their head if someone won't wake up. That's just rude. So instead I cradle her in the blanket and carry Angela with me.
She's quite light and seems to enjoy me picking her up.
