Inari pov

They grew. Bulging out into areas once untouchable in the sunlight. Again, they grew.

Shadows that lurk ever on. A shadow that balloons into the size of a building. A shadow that consumed the very sunlight that served to contain it.

My stomach lurched. It's horrible, it's sickening. The sight. I find myself staring, gaze bulged as the body - once a shadow - is consumed.

I- had the fight not ended with her intervention. With the coming of Lily?

I- I had thought so.

But the boy. His limbs stretching as he yawns. The same sound that disrupts the entire field of battle.

A distraction? No. It's more than that. A clear curse that I will forever remember.

It's as clear as the day, and as the moments passed by… As the shadow I fight found its struggle in my grasp. It's pulled, suctioned towards the boy.

And it struggles. Whatever intelligence left, consumed by the desire to live.
