"Where are we going?" Her voice is soft.

I just shrug.

"Not back. At least not today. I want to stay here, at least for the day. Maybe she'll come back."

Her eyes scan mine. Looming over me like a particularly angry cat. I don't bother with her. Merely letting her shadow veil me from the sun.

I yawn.

"Don't know about you, but I'm tired."

All who could access this place had died. And any that wanted to threaten me would be scattered. Too scared to come and fight me.

So I yawn. Covering my mouth with my hand as I looked to the bright sky. I wander about the house, palming that gem and looking for anything that could serve as food.

Cassandra follows me.

"I-"

She grits her teeth. Stopping herself from saying anything. I turn my head slightly, looking at her as she scrunches her brows.

"Oh! There's something."
