DEATH BY DESIGN - PART 4

The moon above broke through the clouds in the night sky. Its pearly beams, fell on the earth below, revealing Carter's skeleton beneath his flesh, twisting unnaturally, and the bones reforming in an unusual manner.

Steam billowed from his body in the frosty evening air. She could smell his pleasing, musky scent mixed with soap.

He grunted and howled as the pain took over. She could hear snapping and popping in his bones as he dropped to the ground, writhing and panting in pain.

Dahlia didn't know if she should defy him and run away or do as he said and stay.

Tears streamed down her face while her heart flipped in her chest. Dahlia fought against her instincts to flee and instead trusted that he would not cause her harm.

Cautiously, she inched her way towards the imposing figure of the wolfman, known to her as Carter. The soft crunch of leaves beneath her knees echoed in the night's stillness.
