In Faye's eyes, Sterling looked youthful and carefree at this moment, just like the children he was playing with. It made her happy to know that this man—her husband—would enjoy holding his children, feeding them, and being a part of their daily lives.

With a wee babe in his arms, the Duke glanced up and offered Faye a warm grin. The infant's body squirmed, and the baby began to fuss. He stared down at the little one, who was wailing and suckling the back of its hand.

"You must be hungry," he cooed to the infant. A monk quickly noticed and came forward to take charge of the child from the Duke.

Sterling strolled through the crowded grand hall and gently caught Faye by the arm. "I am sorry to interrupt your intriguing conversation, he said." Dragging her away from Friar Tillis. The Duke added. "However, we have a prior engagement and it's time for us to go."
