An Unexpected Gunman

Amelie

The air reeked of blood, and the constant ringing in my ear wouldn't stop. Liam was screaming his lungs out as he pounded Colin to a pulp, while Anna was on the phone, her voice laced with panic as she called an ambulance and the police department. I was yet to understand what was going on, my brain had lost its functionality the moment Colin pulled a gun out of his pockets and pointed it at me. What followed next was a deafening sound, and in the next second Liam was going crazy on Colin.

My body felt cold, the only warmth I could feel was the red liquid that stained my palm and the seething pain at my lower abdomen. The floor was stained with red, and I recognised the bright color to be my blood. Soon I was losing consciousness, my eyes felt heavy, and my legs felt light.
