Liam

The pain on my cheeks remained throughout the entirety of our conversation. It wasn't exactly a conversation, more like an intense scolding from Elizabeth Lodge. She gave me no chance to speak, and whenever I tried speaking about Amelie, she cussed me out. It was clear that Amelie had been here, and from everything that Elizabeth had said to me, I can deduce that she knew everything about our relationship.

"You're a despicable man, Liam Hardwood, do you know that?" She probably wanted me to accept her words, because when I didn't speak she lashed out at me once again. "You're an insufferable brat who thinks he can get away with everything because you have money. But not this time, Amelie is not somebody you can buy with your wealth."

"I understand your reasons for being mad at me, but I really need to see Amelie as soon as possi—"

"My daughter wants nothing to do with you, I believe she made that clear, didn't she?"
