A New Job

Amelie

I rose from my bed, my senses tingling with the enchanting aroma of Egyptian spices that had invaded my dreams. As my eyes fluttered open, I found myself in the dim glow of my bedroom, the curtains dancing gently with the night breeze. It was night, and I couldn't say I wasn't shocked at first. Only seconds later did I realize that time worked differently here in Egypt.

With a sleepy smile—one that reminded me of my freedom, I rose from my cozy blankets, drawn irresistibly toward the source of the aroma. As I sauntered softly through the hallway, the tantalizing scent led me to the heart of our home—the kitchen. Father was up, and he was preparing dinner.

"You're awake, just in time for dinner." He announced with a smile.
