Women Are Difficult

Liam

As we stepped off the plane, the weight of exhaustion settled upon my shoulders like an anchor. The long flight had left me drained, both physically and mentally.

My muscles ached from hours of sitting in that cramped seat, and my mind felt foggy from the lack of sleep. I'd stayed up all night thinking of Amelie. It was really difficult for me to leave Egypt without making any progress with my plans. But there was really nothing I could do at this very moment.

I settled into the backseat of the car, and as it merged into the flow of traffic, I let myself sink into the soft upholstery, my eyes heavy with exhaustion. The journey home felt like an eternity, with me going back and forth with my thoughts half of the time. Luke and I barely spoke, while I was busy drowning in my thoughts, he was wise enough to get a little shut eye before we touched down in London.
