The Delivery Man

Amelie

Hassan's car arrived home much earlier than I had anticipated. And before I could even leave my room to welcome him, he was already racing up the stairs. He seemed stressed, and a little agitated, and it got me worried almost immediately. Junior had also sped out of his bedroom, and in no distant time had wrapped himself around his father's waist.

Hassan's smile looked genuine to the little boy, but I could tell it was taking everything in him just to make a happy face. He has been stressed lately, but this was unlike anything I've seen. In a way he looked angry, but when I looked at him a second time, all I could see was a man desperate for answers.
