"You think or you know?" I asked, my voice trembling alongside my body.

"Are you sure it's not too cold for you?" Liam asked, his breath forming misty clouds in the crisp air.

"I'm fine, just tell me what you know and I can be on my way." I answered, while doing my best to fight off the cold and maintain a bold persona.

"I do know she's trying to kill you, but I haven't gotten an—"

"Why haven't you gotten her arrested then? Are you waiting for her to kill me before you do so?" I interrupted rudely, but my harsh voice was stolen away by the coldness of the air. I couldn't bear the cold any longer, my knees were trembling, and my teeth were beginning to chatter.

Without asking for my permission, Liam pulled off his sweatshirt and draped it over my shoulders. He was wearing a t-shirt underneath, unlike he had actually planned for this meeting and made adequate preparations for the cold.
