" What did you do to Anna and William?" Adrian asked with a calm expression but his tone was demanding. What he and miss maid hadn't noticed was that Adrian was emitting an otherworldly aura that made people submissive to him easily without noticing easily. It was not an aura of a king or a monarch, it was way above others, above even the gods, the aura of a supreme.

At first the statled, surprised then scared and confused. She was statled by the sudden change of topic. What surprised her was the sudden sense of danger she felt coming from Adrian which scared her shitless. Her confusion was because she didn't recognize the identities Anna or William.

Just before Adrian could lose his patience, she managed to piece together who the persons might be and her face turned pale.

Anna was the personal maid of Adrian who Adrian got injured trying to save. William on the other hand, was his personal bodyguard. Even after his father kicked him out of the palace and got his right to vie for the throne was taken away from him, Anna and William continued serving him.

Adrian finally lost his patience and grabbed her by the neck. His movement from getting up from the chair to arriving beside the maid to lifting her by her neck was fluid and silent that she only noticed when she was hanging in the air gasping for air.

" Eld...Elder...haa...Elder Rose knows where they were taken." She answered amid gasping for air.

Adrian gazed at her with an unfocused gaze but in reality was conversing with Zero.

" Zero, I've noticed that the maid had been very submissive to me. Do you think she's planning something, if she is I'll just snap her neck now. Give me an analysis."

[ Ding! It's because the host is emitting the aura of a supreme which is mostly influenced by the host's emotional fluctuations. ]

[ Ding! The ability hasn't been added to the system since the host hasn't mastered it. ]

" Supress my aura to the minimum and hide my cultivation to match that of the previous Adrian. Also temporarily seal my bloodline."

" You work for her right?" He asked the maid to which she responded with a nod.

" Good. Bring me to her." He told her after releasing his grip. The suppression his body was unconsciously emitting gladually faded away. He thought of something while he was about to open the door and turned to the maid.

" If I'm correct, there should be someone waiting for you when you move out after your job here is done, right?" Which she replied with a nod.

" A carriage or a horse?"

" A carriage." She replied confused by the question.

" Good. I don't have to deal with another one of you people."

Outside when Adrian went out he saw two men chatting beside a carriage. He turned back to miss maid, who had just come out, with a questioning look on his face. Seeing his expression, she turned to the carriage direction then turned back to Adrian shaking her head. It seemed she also didn't know the other guy.

Both headed for the carriage at a steady pace, Adrian infront. The two men seemed to notice their presence turning their attention to them. One headed to the carriage door while the other's face turned to joy heading towards them.

" We meet again Minnie. Long time no see..." The guy spoke completely ignoring Adrian.

Adrian turned to miss maid questioning. " Minnie? So that's your name..." His words trailed off as the guy infront interjected.

Miss maid, Minnie, at first had a disgusted expression when the guy called out to her. Hearing Adrian's question she turned her face to the side.

" A cripple like you doesn't have the right to speak while I'm speaking." The guy was angry Minnie had ignored him this decided to vent it out with Adrian.

"You're..." The guy's face seemed familiar to Adrian and after a while he recalled the identity of the guy.

" Oh, so it's young master Eric. How have you been? Are you eating well? Oh, and don't forget to do exercises, they're good for the body? " Adrian threw a bunch of questions at Eric. The guy was known as a nuisance so Adrian decided to annoy him first.

" Of course I'm well... " Eric's words trailed off. He realized he was actually answering Adrian, he was stunned for a second then got completely pissed when he saw Adrian smirking at him. Even Minnie seemed amused.

Eric became enraged seeing Adrian's smirk.

"You best learn your place and stop acting up on me, or I will... "

" Or you will? " Adrian interrupted.

" Or I will..." Eric was just halfway through making his threat before he had to stop, feeling a bit confused, due to realizing that Adrian now had a strange expression on his face.

' what is going on today? ' Eric was feeling a bit puzzled by Adrian. Normally, Adrian wouldn't speak back to him. It was not because Adrian was afraid of Eric, it was because of Eric's family. Though they wouldn't go as far as to end him, they could make his life difficult. Adrian's life was already difficult, if he messed with Eric's family, his life would become miserable.

Eric thought of something and his face brightened. He waved his hand and a piece of paper appeared out of thin air. It was a deed. A contract with Adrian's signature, and sure enough Adrian showed a surprised expression.

Seeing his expression, Eric couldn't help smiling.

Adrian's expression turned from surprise to shock. Eric was elated seeing Adrian's shocked expression causing his smile to widen from ear to ear.

What Eric didn't know was, the cause of Adrian's surprise and shock was entirely a different due to a different reason.

" So that's what is going on." He muttered to himself but Eric heard him clearly. Again he misunderstood Adrian.

About four days earlier, Adrian had payed a visit to Eric's home to meet with Eric's father. He borrowed money from Eric's father to buy a herb from elder Rose's place. The herb was to treat his meridians.
