Exchanging Heaven For a Decent Death.

"Wait, what did you say?" Jin glared at the angel with a weird face.

"God doesn't have time for you. He's a busy man, you know?" The angel looked at Jin with a straight face. "That's why I'm here,"

"Fine, I get that. So what now? Do I go to hell for what I said earlier?" Jin growled, glaring at her with a frustrated gaze.

"Actually, no. but I heard worst things in my years here." She looked at Jin with a faint smile. "You're going to heaven after all,"

Jin's eyes sparked, "I'm going to heaven?" He stood, gasping with a smile.

"Yeah, You were just a bit above average, but you made it, so congratulation." The angel waved her hand, "My name is Ariel. I will be the one responsible for making sure you get what you deserve for living an honest life."

Jin sat back in his chair, a happy smile on his face. ^I might have died, but I can't be angry about going to heaven.^

"Say, Angel Ariel. How did I die, did my pod short my brain?" Jin wanted to at least know how he died. He couldn't have just kicked the bucket out of nowhere.

Ariel blinked twice, "Oh, that wasn't the case. You died of fear," she said, with a straight face.

"Wait, what?" Jin gasped with a puzzled face.

"You thought the hobgoblin really killed you, and your real body released a ton of adrenaline. That stopped your unathletic heart in its track." Ariel giggled and burst to laugh.

"OI!" Jin shouted, with an angry face.

Laughing herself off, Ariel glared at Jin with tears in her eyes. "Your pod's AI that was used to coordinate the virtual reality was really confused at how fast your heart stopped." BAM! She dropped from her chair, rolling on the ground. "That AI developed sentient just to search the ambulance number and call it to save you. That pod really cared about you more than any human ever did."

"Are you saying I died of shock? I wasn't killed by some freak accident?" Jin screamed, glaring at his hands with a scared face.

"The ambulance just arrived at your apartment, and they are trying to resurrect you with CPR, but you were so weak that they already broke five of your ribs." Ariel barely stood while laughing.

"The game was designed to read your real-life physical abilities and convert them into the game. Most people start with at least 5 points in each stat while you start with only one. You were the first one to die to the tutorial boss from over seven million players."

"Shut up! You angel!" Jin screamed his lungs out, "Send me to heaven. I don't want to hear about this anymore."

Ariel sat back on her chair, "I got a good laugh," She wiped her tears and looked at Jin, "Well, I can help you fix this if you wish."

"Wait, you can?" Jin sat back in his chair. He would prefer his death to look normal. "What can you do?"

"I can make it seem like you died due to overwork. You're body was already too weak, and I can make it seem that way by changing some events. The catch is that this will consume your good deeds in life."

"Stop right there," Jin stood again, "How much will it use?"

"With the minimal changes possible, it will get you on the edge between heaven and hell. A perfect place." Ariel smiled.

Jin sat back on the chair and looked at the weird angel in front of him. ^Spending my good deeds to change death circumstances. It sounds like a bad deal. I'm going to heaven, so life doesn't matter to me...^ He sighed, "Will I still go to heaven after the changes?"

The angel opened a blue panel with a single weave of her palm and thin fingers, "Sadly, no. Using the minimal amount will drop you below the requirement to enter heaven. But you're still above the requirement to enter hell."

"Are you saying I can't go to either hell or heaven? What kind of stupid system are you running here? Is there a third option?" Jin glared at her with a doubtful face.

Ariel shifted her legs and stared at him, "There is. People with good deeds go to heaven. People with bad deeds go to hell. And those in the middle get reincarnated again."

Jin blinked, "Reincarnation? Like those Isekai anime?"

"Of course not. The world you're going to is real, and is just as hard as the one you're been living in, if not worse." Ariel smiled, "But don't worry, I can do you a favor and reincarnate you whole."

"Reincarnate me whole?" Jin looked at her.

"Yes, with all of your memories in an adult body. That will make it a bit harder for you to integrate, but with your knowledge from the modern world, you should have an edge, later on, to hopefully do good and get into heaven the next time we meet." Ariel smiled, clapping her hands together.

Jin weighed his options. He can go to heaven now, and live with the regret of his death there. Or fix his death, and get a second chance at life in another world in the hope of getting into heaven again.

"By the way, how is heaven?" Jin asked.

"You played a lot of games in the past, so it will be easier if I explain if I said it's a creative mode of life. God will grant you a whole functioning world, and you're free to do with it as you like. Of course, that includes the angel servants, who you can customize to your liking." Ariel looked at him, "It's a good place. Right now, you can only pick your world to create heaven, but if you lived a second life, you would have two worlds."

Jin smiled, "So the more times I reincarnate and succeed, the more worlds I get to rule in heaven,"

"Yes," Ariel said with a smile, but she then heard a ding. "We're out of time. Please decide."

"I will reincarnate. I don't want to leave any regrets in the world."
