Chapter Eleven
I woke up the next day with a splitting headache. I couldn't even leave my bed, not without having an urge to faint. Guess I've been thinking too much. And Kyra isn't home. I couldn't get myself to leave my bed so I stayed there all morning. I couldn't make it to school. I just think I need some rest.
I felt a lot better when I woke up the next day and thankfully, I made it to school on time. Classes began in earnest and while in it, I noticed a lotta things. Samantha was visibly angry at something. She was seething and didn't hesitate to vent it on anyone and everyone around her. Amy wasn't boiling like Sam but she was sad. She looked broken. Natalie was worse,she cried all day and that got me thinking what the issue was. I tried talking to Sam but she sent me away with a lash of words. Amy was easy to get. She was sad cause her dad was sick. I was sympathetic towards her and somehow we became friends. Natalie was a ' no go area '. She gave me the silent treatment and I backed out. Amy didn't say anything concerning Rio but I knew he had everything to do with this. Dude was walking around happily like he did nothing wrong but I know it's definitely him. Something else, if Sam sees Natalie,all she'll do is glare at her and roll her eyes. Natalie was no different.That does ring a bell. The playboy dumped them. Suits them perfect. They believed everything he said and well, here was the result. Crazy right? The whole situation reminded me of a song, Savage Love by Jason Derulo,my celebrity crush. The song goes this way...

I smiled. These girls really got what they were asking for. I found myself humming the song as I went to the school's cafeteria. I paid for my lunch and just as I sat down to eat, Rio joined me on my table.
" Hey Playboy!" I said with a smile.
" Hey PlayGirl!" he said returning the smile.
" Uh uhh... correction, I am not a playgirl"
" Really? What would you call someone who dates more than ten guys at a time?" he said furrowing his brows.
" Well... that was then. The girl's changed now" I said, obviously a lie.
" That's nice to know. Why are you alone? where are your friends?"
" I dunno. Probably not here yet. Couldn't wait for them, I'm starving"
" Okay! Umm... " Rio began, running his hands through his hair. That's weird. He looked nervous.
" Is anything wrong?" I asked.
" Do you have classes after now?" he asked
" No, do you?"
" Nope. You mind if we meet, I've got something I need to tell you"
Okay! This is awkward! What's he up to?
" Rio Rollins Richard, What are you up to???" I asked, staring intently at him.
" Oh! you know my full name?"
" Yeah,peeked at the register. Now what are you up to?"
" Nothing wrong. I just want to talk to ya"
" Okay! Just wants to talk, alright! Where?"
" The garden"
" Hope Amy's not gonna come catch us and kill me?" I said sarcastically.
" Nah, c'mon! Not like we're doing anything wrong. Besides,I'm taking a break from those bitches"
" Oh really? Why?" I asked curiously.
" That is what we are gonna talk about"
" Okay! I'll finish up my lunch and join you there" I said. He smiled widely and standing up,he said,
" I'll be waiting, my lady"
I rolled my eyes but couldn't help but smile at the same time. What is this dude up to now? Breaking up with his girlfriends and now wanting to "talk" with me. Well, only one way to find out.
His Pov:
Well,that was easy! Let's see how the main game goes. Hope it's as easy as the first step. The deal was... Get her to meet with me in private, ask her out and make her to fall for me in two weeks time. My dudes dared me to do this and TF, I'm more than capable of doing it.
I didn't wait long before Anny joined me. She cat-walked into the garden with a smile on her face.
" So Rio, what do you wanna talk about?" she said.
" Well,I'll go straight to the point."
" Please do!"
" First, Annalita you're very beautiful" I said.
" I know, You've told me that before and that's not the point you wanted to go straight to" she said, looking suspiciously at me.
" Right!" I said and chuckled wryly.
" Okay, let's go straight to the point. I..."I began and suddenly,I got nervous. That's unusual.
" You...?"
I cleared my throat and coughed.
" Remember the day you showed up here and how we introduced ourselves by fighting?" I said in my sweetest voice with my most enchanting smile.
" Yeah I remember,it's barely been a month" Anny said
" That's the point Anny. it's barely been a month and yet you've managed to crawl into my mind and you stay there all day and all night"
She looked like she was about to smile but she didn't.
" What are you trying to say, Rio?"
" What I'm trying to say is... I like you. I know it might come as a shock to you and you might not really believe me buh I mean it, Anny. I've fallen for everything about you, your smile, your eyes, the way you walk, the way you talk, everything Anny, you've got me going crazy, yunno? You kind of make me want to be a better person every single day of life and trust me, these feelings aren't just feelings."
" Wow!" was all she said. She still didn't smile. God! Did she suddenly forget how to smile? Or doesn't she know how to blush? Jeez!
" Is that all you're gonna say?" I said, clearly losing my courage.
" You expecting me to say something else?"
" Maybe you could smile" I said and s
he chuckled.
" You should know me by now Rio.Those quack lines is not gonna make my heart skip and turn. Step up your game bro" Anny said. Ouch! That's the first time a girl is ever saying that to my face. Like what the ...? Step up my game? Wow!
" What? You out of lines already?"
" Alright Anny, quit playing hard. We go well together, we're the perfect 5 & 6. You know, no other alphabet goes together perfectly than U & I"
At this, she smiled. Yes! I'm getting there. Well, that's some bright green light, her smile.
" Rio, what exactly are you heading to?" Anny asked.
" Simple, Will you be my Girlfriend?"
She smiled.
" And if I say Yes?"
" Will you?" I asked surprised
" That'd be like a dream come true" I added with a wry chuckle. She smiled. Again.
" Well Rio, I admire the fact that you could be bold enough to actually say how you feel for me and for that,I'll come out clean too. I actually like you, thought I could just act tough and deny the feelings but you took a step and now I can't refuse "
" Are you... are you being serious right now?" I asked. I was stunned. That was easy.
" If you are then why not?" she replied.
" Wow!" I said still unable to believe that I just got her to admit her feelings for me.
" So is that ... a yes?" I asked.
She smiled and nodded. I pinched myself and smiled realizing it was real.
Again, Wow!!!
" You okay?" she asked.
" Umm... I'm so surprised, can't believe I'd ever be this lucky"
" Lucky you are but it's not gonna last if any girl comes to my face to say anything stupid. You know me, I'm gonna go all me "
" No worries,I broke up with them all" I said with a smile. She smiled back.Just kiss her! Slowly,I moved closer. She didn't move so I moved again. I was close enough now so I inched my lips forward. Our lips almost met when she turned her face and I pecked her instead. She pecked me back and before I could say anything, jerked out of the garden.
Well, Well, Well, don't tell me The Almighty Annalita Hart is shy. Isn't that crazy? I can't believe I actually got her. So much for all the bragging that she was never gonna fall for me. For once, I thought she was never gonna actually fall but here we are, she's my girlfriend already. Quite ironical, you know. Girl, you're going down!!
Her Pov:
What the hell does he think I am? He's probably patting himself at his back for a job well done. It's such a pity that I'm one step ahead for him. And to think I'd actually fall with those dumb lines, Jeez! Well, Well, Well, Mr. Rio you have played the wrong card. And to tell you the damn truth, this is gonna be your last card. You are gonna have just a taste of your own medicine. It's all rosy at first, wait until I come in. You can't possibly be the first guy to play me, it's gonna be the other way round. Boy, You're going down!!!
