Chapter Twelve
His Pov
It's Saturday and I am bored as fuck. Just lying at home doing nothing is so boring. And I broke up with all my babes so I could work my game with Annalita and now I can't call them to come take my boredom away. Maybe Anny can. It's time to activate my ' sweet button' , I thought as I picked up my phone and put a call through to Anny. She picked on the fourth ring.
" Hey Playboy!" She said.
" Uh-uh! I won't accept you calling me that. I've changed, remember?" I said
" Oh really! Tell me about it" she said, sarcasm in her voice.
" Oh C'mon Babe, I broke up with all of them so I could be with you, that's enough evidence that I've changed"
" Is this why you called? To tell me you've changed?" she asked and I rolled my eyes
" Umm... actually I was bored and missing someone so I just had to hear her voice so I wouldn't die" I said with a smirk. I bet she just rolled her eyes.
" Are you so jobless, Rio?"
" Yes and that's cause I can't do anything without you popping into my mind. See you distract me but I'm distracted without you"
" Really Rio...
" Uh-uh! I won't you accept you calling me that either"
" But it's your name"
" Yes but I'm your boyfriend now. What happened to Cupcake and Heartbeat and Lifeline and Babyboo and Loverboy and Mi amor..." I stopped chanting when I heard her laugh.
" That's what they called you, right?"
" What? No! I mean yes but..."
She laughed again.
" Go on and lie to me" she said jokingly and I found myself smiling.
" The fact is that we're dating now so calling me by my name is unethical, highly against boyfriend rules "
" Boyfriend rules, I see! Tell me you just invented that in your head"
" No... I didn't. The girls before you have all abided by my boyfriend rules" I said and quickly regretted it. She might get mad with me but thankfully she didn't.
" Well... Rio, I ain't them and you should have figured that out by now. I'll call you what I want to call you" she said and I smiled knowingly.
" Fine! You win but it's only cause I love the way my name sounds when you say it"
" Oh really!"
" Yeah. It clicks my heart button and turns me on. I bet it'll sound better with you on my bed screaming your lungs out with pleasure "
" Uh-uh Rio, quit dreaming. That's never happening " she said and I smiled. She's still acting hard to get. I'mma get you, I will. Even if it's gonna take a while, I will get you Anny.
" I rest my case. Have you got any plans for tomorrow?"
" Umm... no I guess"
" Great! My dudes are having sort of a get-together and I was invited. Can't go alone cause everyone's gonna be paired so..." I stopped.
" So...?" she said too. I rolled my eyes. She clearly knows what I mean. She's just trying to get be annoying, she doesn't know how cute that is.
" Would you come with me tomorrow?" I said.
" I'll think about it" she said.
What? What happened to ' Yes Rio' or ' of course baby'? That's what they always say. I've never been told ' I'll think about it'. Which girl doesn't rush in on a date with me? She is different,I guess. She won't be for long though.
" How long do you need ?"
" I'll tell you by tomorrow"
" Okay, the picnic starts by 3. It's at Hearts & Stars Park, I'll pick you up "
" I haven't said yes yet Rio" she reminded.
" Right! You're not going to disappoint me,are you?" I asked.
" You never know" she said
" Bye darling" she added and hung up before I could reply. Okay! I'm always the one to hang up on them not the other way round. Gawd! This girl is messing with my game. I am still going to get her though. She'll be head over heels in love with me soon and then I'll dump her like the rest. That would be so much fun!!!
