Chapter Twenty-nine
His Pov
Lunch time, I sat at my usual table with my dudes. Corey was talking about some girl. I think his new prey. I wasn't listening. My mind was on Anny.
My phone beeped and so did everyone's phone in the whole lunch room. It was some kind of notification. A video had been uploaded on the school's social media platform.
" What's this?" Richard asked. I shrugged.
" I dunno. Maybe some crazy girl showing off her rump" I said. I soon figured out that I was wrong. I noticed that eyes were on me, almost all of them. I felt my heart jump. Please don't be what I'm thinking! I clicked on the video and there it was. Me on my knees begging Anny to stay.
" What the...???" Corey said clearly shocked. Anny really did this to me
" Woaw Rio! This gotta be a joke."
" Am I seeing things or are you actually begging Anny to love you?" David said, then chuckled in disbelief, " did it get to this?" he added.
" Isn't this quite a shame?" someone muttered.
" If I was told in a dream, I wouldn't have believed it " another snorted.
" Quite some player" another said loudly and half of the hall began laughing.
I felt like the ground should just open up and swallow me. I felt like melting under the sight of everyone there. I sighted Anny and Amy come into the hall and I sighed. I definitely have to do this.
I stood up and left the cafeteria with eyes piercing into me. I found my way into the school's sound room and there I got a mic ready to give the whole school a piece of my mind.
" This is Rio on the school's intercom and I need you all to listen cause I ain't gonna say it twice" I said. When I was sure I had their attention, I began,
" Are you guys surprised? You shouldn't be. Yeah, I'm in love. Thought I'd never fall but I did. And how glad I am that video was released. At least now I don't have to explain anything to you all. I found love, okay? And you wanna know how? I'll tell you" I paused to let my words sink in.Too bad I ain't there to see their reactions. I took a deep breath and continued.
" I'm gonna tell you all a lil' secret. All the other girls I've been with were way too willing to give me the one thing that's supposed to mean the world to them.You all made yourself too cheap. You never gave me a reason to love you cause the only thing you had to offer was what the one thing I had in excess. Would it surprise you all to know that of all the girls I dated, Anny was the only one who cared to know about my family. I can proudly say that that soul knows everything about me but I'm not sure Amy would, sorry to mention names. " I paused again.
" I know you probably did all of this to hurt me and break me Anny but I want you to know that this is not going to change how I feel about you. And thank you for letting them know that you are the one I love, maybe now they'll let me be. And if any of you thinks I'm crazy, then come tell me to my face!" I concluded and dropped the mic.
I didn't know how things would turn out after all of that. I didn't even know what to do from there. All the same, I got myself back to the cafe and there I saw her. Shock clearly written on her face. I could still feel the eyes boring into me but I shut them off my brain and walked up to her.
" Anny... " I said and held her hands. " Anny I'm in love with you. I don't know how else to prove this to you but I'm real and this heart..." I continued placing her hand on my chest, " belongs to you " I added.
I heard someone clap and soon everyone was clapping. Everyone except Amy and her demons. And of course, Anny. She just stood there, her hands in mine, staring at me with a shocked expression.
Someone tapped me. It was Corey.
" Let's get out of here man" he said as the noise was getting out of control. I gave Anny one last stare and left the cafe with my dudes.
Her Pov
I stood flabbergasted. I was... well, surprised is quite an understatement. The whole plan failed. Rio! God, that guy is crazy!
Amy came from behind and slapped me. Another shocker!
" Amy,what was that for?" I asked surprised.
" Oh you shut up bitch! You were supposed to help me Annalita. You stole him from me. You're a witch! I hate you" She spat and left me standing in my biggest nightmare. Before I could snap out of it, Natalie, Ashely, Sam and Evelyn walked up to me.
" Oh! I bet you must be feeling like the Queen of the world now!" Sam said.
" He poured out all the praises in the world on you. You must be feeling on top" Natalie said.
" Well we just here to remind you this game isn't over till we say it is. Rio can never be yours" Ashley went on.
Sam held my hair and yanking it ,she said,
" You stay away from Rio, okay? Else you're gonna yearn to be in hell cause what we'll do to you would be more than any torture in hell" She snarled, spit at me and walked out. The rest of them followed after her and I collapsed on my seat.
What have I done? Dear God!!! Toria walked up to me and sat beside me.
" I warned you Anny. I told you but you just don't listen, do you?" she said. I was boiling inside but I just couldn't vent my anger on anybody. Especially not Toria, especially after she warned me. So much for my kind heart! Now I have to suffer the consequences. Oh fuck my life!!!
