Hazel attended the regular courses normally, but his mind was somewhere from the class. He really wanted to test his new power more. Training. Training hard and improving himself.
Training was the only thing he had in his mind. He didn't even think about the forehead kiss anymore because Mircalla motivated himself that he could gain more than a forehead kiss, so he didn't think about such a little thing anymore.
As the class was over, the students could rest or attend mandatory courses. Hazel chose a certain course that could help him understand his [Body Reconstruction]. It was an alchemy class.
Alchemy had many fields, and body transmutation was one of them. If he wanted to master his [Body Reconstruction], he needed to learn about it.
Hazel arrived at the alchemy class. The room was spacious. Bookcases were placed against the walls, and many students walked back and forth to it, seemingly ignoring the professor at his desk.
The system of mandatory classes was self-taught. Each student had a different path, so they needed to learn things suitable for them. Of course, the professor wasn't only there as a room decoration. In fact, his task was difficult. The professor had to give the students pointers when they asked him.
Of course, there was a limit of how people could ask for pointers. Each student could only ask for a pointer once. After that, they had to pay.
Rich people had the advantage from this system because they had money to ask for more pointers. As for him, the current Hazel could ask for more pointers because he made significant money. However, he would try his best to not use his money for more pointers.
Hazel browsed through the bookcases and gathered every book he could find about body transmutation. He compared each of the books before deciding to take one.
Truthfully, Hazel wanted to take all books about body transmutation, but each student could only take one book.
The book he took was called [Bone Modification and Strengthening]. In this book, it was stated that strong bones could enhance someone's strength, endurance, and agility. All the physical stats he wanted to raise, he could do it by strengthening his bones.
That was the reason he read carefully, so he could fully understand the theory about bone strengthening.
Hazel was immersed in reading that he didn't realize the class was over. The professor hurriedly left the classroom, as if refusing to give another pointer.
As the professor already left, it was bad conduct to continue the study. He returned the book back to the bookcase regrettably. He still wanted to read more, but he already got the information he needed. Besides, he still had many things to do today.
Hazel left the class and sat briefly on a random bench outside of the class. Before he continued his next activity, he reviewed everything he had learned.
'For me, I only need the theory of doing bone modification. I can conduct the experiment as I please with my aura. However, everything I modify with the aura isn't permanent. To make the effect permanent, I need to consume precious ingredients, inducing the natural evolution of my cells and DNA. I can buy these materials from the system shop, but I need more points.'
After confirming his thoughts, Hazel knew what he had to do next. "Time to do customized quests," he said. He needed points to buy ingredients.
Hazel left the academy to do customized quests. Luckily, he had asked for a permission letter, so he could bypass the guards and leave the gate.
Outside of the academy was the city. There were many skyscrapers around him. On the street, many flying cars passed by, and there were many of them in the air too. On the sidewalks, some people also rode on floating disks while strolling. Some people put unique monster pets on leash and brought them for a walk.
This was the world of today. Ever since the game-like system's appearance, the scientists had been improving the technology to what they were today. Even though Earth was one of the weakest worlds among the connected worlds, this planet was ranked two in terms of technology. Even the number one world in terms of technology still learned from Earth because this planet could advance their civilization without magic.
Hazel admired the city scenery for a bit before moving on. It was time to do the quests.
First, he visited a fast food restaurant called Bamboo Express. He ordered many packs of orange chicken with rice. After that, he visited a dark alley.
In this cramped place, many beggars stayed here. This was the dark side of the city, an unwanted side that couldn't be erased. Even though civilization had advanced, poor people always existed no matter what world you lived in.
Hazel walked into the alley confidently with bags of food in his hands. The beggars could smell the savory scent of crispy chicken and the sweet scent of orange sauce. They all looked at him, but they hesitated to approach when they saw his scary face. However, some children—driven by hunger—approached him.
A little girl looked at him and said, "Mister, can you spare us some food?" she asked, but Mister Hazel looked at her intimidatingly, making her step back.
Seeing his expression, Mircalla slapped his back and reminded, "Hazel, your face. Your face."
"Ah." Hazel smiled at her and said, "There are meals for everyone." He looked at everyone and shouted, "There are meals for everyone. Please line up!"
Normally, hungry beggars would rush impatiently to get their meals, but thanks to his scary face, they complied with his words and made a line. Sometimes, Hazel felt grateful to be born with this face. He was really grateful. He didn't cry in his heart at all.
As people patiently waited in line, Hazel quickly finished sharing the food. After that, he ate lunch together with them.
Even though this place was cramped, eating together was always fun. Hazel sat between two old men, and there were old men too in front of him. He didn't join their conversation as he was an awkward guy, but even without doing anything, their impression toward him increased.

[You have acquired 100 affection points!]
There were many old men here. Thanks to them, he acquired 1.600 affection points. This was why he loved doing charity. Doing good things made him feel good. Furthermore, he also gained profit.

"Ah, lucky." Hazel muttered. He felt happy, so he spooned a large piece of chicken and rice, but he stopped eating when he noticed everything turned quiet. He looked at people and noticed they were staring at him in fear.
"What's wrong?"
As he wondered what was wrong with these people, Mircalla whispered, "Your energy from leveling up leaked."
"Ah, I see...." Hazel looked at everyone and bowed his head. "I am sorry. It was unintentional. I just leveled up, so my energy leaked."
People looked at each other and started to laugh. After the misunderstanding was cleared, they continued their conversations.
These people seemed to understand that Hazel was a good person, so they began to add him in their conversation.
"Did you level up by eating?" an old man asked.
That wasn't the case, but Hazel nodded. "Yes."
"As expected from the students of the academy. You are all geniuses."
"Young Man, are you going to visit us again?" one of the old men asked.
"Sure, why not?"
Hearing his reply, everyone cheered. They continued their lunch with hearty conversations.
Seeing their smiles, Hazel smiled too. Even in this narrow alley, people could still find happiness. Hanging out with them wasn't bad. A cheerful atmosphere brought joy to his heart. In a way, they helped him to brighten up his busy day.
Hazel enjoyed their company, but he couldn't stay for a long time. After having lunch, he left the dark alley and walked toward the bright street.

"This is not over. I still have to complete 3 more quests." Hazel closed his system and walked again. He looked for new targets in order to complete his quests. All these customized quests would be refreshed daily, but he was confident to finish them today.
With that, he diligently performed his quests. A few hours later, Hazel completed all the quests.
[Congratulations! You have completed a customized quest....]

Hazel looked at the system notifications with a wide smile. Today, not only did he complete all the quests, he also gained more affection points. All these points were more than he expected, but he welcomed it with an open heart.
