chapter88-that girl

Cecilia's POV

Every day, I have to endure the probing stares of many people, along with their intense curiosity, idle gossip, and even some inexplicable criticism.

As I walk down the street, there are always clusters of people who point at me, whispering to each other, and either bursting into laughter or falling into bewildered silence.

Going up and down the stairs, the students who appear calm on the surface turn around to look at me after passing a corner, lowering their voices as they discuss, "She seems to be Karl's girlfriend."

"Oh, although she's pretty nice, she's not as attractive as Monica and Diana."

"I don't think she can handle Karl. She looks too soft, not his type."

"I don't think Karl really likes her that much. I don't see any chemistry between them."

Every time I hear such comments, I stop in my tracks, turn around, and meet their gazes calmly and directly, just looking at them with an intense, wordless stare.
