chapter 109-I'll forgive you

Bruno's POV

I had been considering getting up and leaving, but upon hearing that, I quirked a corner of my lips, paused, and turned my gaze towards Cecilia.

This girl had a very gentle and quiet appearance, in stark contrast to Karl. However, when she faced off with Karl and looked up at him, there was something about her that made us strangely alike. It was quite intriguing.

Karl's face became completely expressionless as he loomed over her, his gaze cold and distant. His mouth twitched ever so slightly, unconsciously biting the soft flesh of his inner cheek.

His impatience was gradually escalating; he had been holding back for a while now.

His throat moved, and he was about to speak when a voice from the doorway interrupted.

"Time to eat!" David and his girlfriend, all smiles, poked their heads in, oblivious to the tension in the room.
