Chapter 152-Unexpected Twist

Cecilia's POV

Seating area outside the woods.

I leaned against the back of the chair, exhaling a long breath. My shoulders slumped momentarily as I hung my head, repeatedly folding and unfolding the pages of my speech script in my hands, feeling anxious.

The intense emotions from yesterday's conversation with Bruno had now settled into a faint, lingering disturbance, affecting my judgment with lingering power.

The paper, now thickly folded, furrowed my brows, and I tossed it back into my pocket.

Reaching for the coffee placed beside me, my fingertips were about to touch the bottle when another hand beat me to it.

I looked up to find Karl standing behind the chair, glancing down at me.

"What are you doing here alone?" Karl asked, sliding his thumb gently over the bottle until he felt the warmth, refraining from further inquiry.
