Chapter 29: So be it

Chapter 29: So be it

*MIRA’S POV*

Jane turned to face Trae. “You mean you haven’t told her yet?” she asked.

"I haven't exactly had the opportunity," Trae hissed through gritted teeth, his irritation palpable.

“Haven’t had the opportunity?!” Jane huffed with indignation.“It is literally the solution to all of our problems!”

“If it is so important, would somebody just tell me already!” I exclaimed impatiently.

“Okay, so Sage said that she was re-reading the prophecy and that it was totally misinterpreted! Your mate doesn’t have to be a Selene wolf, it just needs to be someone ‘pure of heart’ or something super corny like that…” Jane explained.

“Okay?” I said, thinking it over.

“So, now that you have clearly found your mate,” Jane elaborated, gesturing toward Trae, “we can fight and kill all of the Shadows and then everyone can live happily ever after and move on with our lives.”

The seriousness of the situation was making it impossible to keep up my silence toward Trae.
