*MIRA’S POV*
As the moon cast a pale glow on the cheering crowd, I couldn't help but be overwhelmed by a mix of emotions. The NorthStar pack along with the other packs in our camp had welcomed me with open arms, celebrating my arrival as their Luna even though I was the very wolf the Shadow’s were hunting, putting them all at risk again and again.
Jane and Troy approached me and she wrapped her arms around me in a celebratory hug.
“Mira, it’s okay to enjoy yourself for just one night!” she urged noting the troubled look on my face.
“Jane, I am literally the problem,” I sighed. “I am the reason the Shadows won’t stop attacking us.”
“No you're not,” she argued. “Must I remind you that the Shadows kill everything they come across?”
“She is right, Luna. You are the solution!” Troy interjected.
“Not without my wolf,” I grumbled. “And Trae is worried that using my magic again is too dangerous. We need more manpower…”
