“Shut up! I don’t sound like that at all!” I laugh, shoving Eileen down the path before us.
The vampire grins, her cheeks full and cheerful as she continues to playfully mock the way I run, “You’re like a little rabbit. Just hopping and galloping around like this.” She holds up her hands in front of herself, making her eyes wide as she tiptoe runs ahead.
“Shut up! I’ve got dainty feet, leave me alone!”
“Haha, I’m only kidding, my dear,” Eileen replies. She scoops me up in her arms, lifting me off my feet in a fluid twirl that has me giggling like a little kid. “You are too cute sometimes. I just can’t help but tease you and your deer legs.”
“You are such an as*.”
“Mm, I’d say of the two of us, you’re definitely the one with the better a*s.”
